Let me guess, you failed to scroll to the bottom:
“A week later, Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump produced a recorded audio tape of “Diamond Eugene” whom he said was Trayvon’s 16-year-old girlfriend who was on the phone with Trayvon just before the altercation. However, two weeks later, 18-year-old Rachel Jeantel, the alleged imposter, appeared before prosecutors claiming to be “Diamond Eugene” and provided false statements to incriminate Zimmerman based on coaching from others.”
Come on, man. You just have to be playing a joke now, right?
Those are “the details, per the website of Larry Klayman, who’s representing Zimmerman in this lawsuit” so, naturally, he’s going to present his client in the best possible light. You also cut off the following:
Got anything else you’d like to selectively quote?
Preferably something with any evidence whatsoever.
Maybe something from Alex Jones or Steve Bannon?
Klayman and Zimmerman risk being sued themselves or being held in contempt of court if there is no merit to the case. I have trouble believing they would make such an outrageous claim unless they had iron clad evidence.
Stormy Daniels had to pay Trump’s legal fees when the courts found her case to be without merit.
Zimmerman risked being tried for murder when he shot an unarmed black kid; didn’t stop him then.
Supposedly, Joel sits down and has an interview with Diamond Eugene, who claims to be Rachel Jeantel’s half-sister. This should be pretty easy to prove or disprove.
What we know are facts based on court reporting:
Rachel Jeantel, the star witness, claims to go by the name “Diamond Eugene” and also, Dee Dee.
Diamond Eugene, during an initial phone interview, claimed to be 16.
A hand written letter signed by Diamond Eugene was presented in court and Rachel Jeantel was asked to read it. Her response was that she can’t even read cursive. She says that someone else wrote it for her.
Rachel Jeantel is not 16, she’s 18. When asked to explain the discrepancy in court, she testified that she thought lying about her age would give her more privacy rights during trial.
What the lawsuit alleges:
The real Diamond Eugene refused to testify, so Treyvon’s mom got the mentally disabled, 18 year old 9th grader to pretend to be Diamond Eugene. Then she was coached through her testimony. The mom definitely knew she was an impostor and the prosecutor did or should have known. Other investigators named as defendants also knew or should have known.
What Joel Gilbert claims:
That he met with and spoke to Brittany Diamond Eugene (pictured here who is two years younger than Rachel, is Rachel’s half-sister, was actually Treyvon’s girlfriend, and is named Diamond Eugene.
The girl claiming to be the real Diamond Eugene says that she is the one who was on the phone with Treyvon during the incident, but she didn’t want to testify. She says they pressured her into doing the original telephoned witness interview, and that’s where the name Diamond Eugene and the age of 16 came from. But she didn’t want to testify.
So Racehl Jeantel testifies as Diamond Eugene instead.
Setting aside this guy’s previous right-wing nutjob work, which is admittedly pretty wild and ridiculous, and setting aside the fact that Zimmerman is a total piece of shit…
I have a simple question: Is the girl interviewed by Joel actually
Those three things should be easy to refute. Has anyone done that yet?? IF those three things are true, do you guys believe that it doesn’t matter? If those three things are true, then I think this should not be ignored just because this guy’s previous work was stupid nonsense about Obama being a Manchurian candidate or whatever. Did the boy who cried wolf eventually get attacked by wolves?
It’s almost like he’s trying to top O.J.'s “If I Did It” stunt. Congratulations, Zimmerman, you’ve succeeded. Please, throw this jackass in the cornfield.
At the rate he’s going, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does just that one of these days.
Either that or shoots himself in the groin.
I can selectively quote, too!
I have trouble believing you would know what “iron clad evidence” even is.
So I listened to an interview of Ben Crump the attorney for the Martin family and who is being sued as well. Nowhere in the interview does he refute the claim by Gilbert. Crump constantly says he “won’t dignify the craziness” of the lawsuit. For most of the interview, he steers away from the lawsuit choosing to speak about Obama and his work in Flint Michigan.
I find it curious that he does not simply affirm that Rachel Jeantel is the woman that Trayvon was speaking with on the night of his death. Instead he talks about getting a team of lawyers to get the lawsuit dismissed. He also mentions that he has turned down multiple requests for interviews.
Apart from being an idiot in general, you are wrong about this.
Absent extraordinary circumstances, about the worst they risk is having the case thrown out of court, with a small (very small) possibility of being assessed the defendant’s legal costs.
And now we’re in Ilhan Omar / Hunter Biden territory: “If they have nothing to hide, why won’t they discuss the issues?”
Two African American professors discuss Gilbert’s claims and found them “persuasive.” This is a must listen.
Highlights:
Gilbert locates the real Diamond Brittany Eugene and gets writing samples from her.
Based on social media posts, Trayvon knew how to fight and was a popular young man. He also inquired
about purchasing a weapon.
Benjamin Crump plays an audio recording from Brittany Diamond which does not sound like Rachael Jeantel.
Rachel Jeantel submits a letter in cursive detailing her conversation with Trayvon but cannot read it suggesting she did not actually write it.
And?
What, exactly, is this supposed to suggest?
CMC fnord!
