Georgia senate runoff elections. Let’s debate and make predictions

Well, those are obviously all of the legitimate votes. Time to stop counting!

STOP THE STEAL! STOP THE STEAL!

You are way off the mark here. Dems must win both to get to a 50-50 tie.

Sure they will. But all this was going to happen irrespective of the outcome. If Dems were to win by a landslide (won’t happen, of course), Trump would find a way to call it rigged. He’s a one-trick pony and everything is either rigged or a hoax.

Both Ossoff and Warnock are both running ahead of Biden’s numbers in November. So cool!!

Gotcha. I had really tuned out of politics after the November election. Couldn’t even get the numbers right anymore.

Yes, a landslide victory for the Democrats would just be evidence that their success committing fraud in the previous election just emboldened them, and they now have no concern being subtle about it.

I’ve actually encountered arguments that claim that one side winning by a big margin can be indicative of fraud, because it means they’re trying to steal the election in a way that wouldn’t look like stealing, whereas a narrow outcome would invite accusations of fraud.

You just can’t reason with such people.

So… different than the presidential race in Georgia, then.

“You’ve fallen for one of the classic blunders! The most famous is, ‘Never get involved in a land war in Asia.’ But only slightly less well known is this… Never go in against a Republican when an ELECTION is on the line! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

With 48% reporting both Democrats are ahead by a bit more than 8 percentage points.

Race looks like is tightening, but it is looking bad for the Republicans.

It will tighten, for sure. But both Dems are clawing back a few more votes in all those predominantly rural black counties.

Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease let these Dems win!!! It’s everything.

STOP THE COUNT!!
Hey, its worth a try.

There are still too many votes out there in the rural parts of the state. I want to believe the Dem’s leads will hold but I am not optimistic

Plenty of votes left on the non rural parts of the state also. So far what we are seeing looks very positive for the Dems, and I don’t mean just the count.

I’m not basing my optimism on that. I’m basing it on both Dem candidates’ performance in relationship to Biden’s numbers in November, as well as turnout numbers in each county.

Both Ossoff and Warnock have improved their numbers from November to now.

If turnout in high Dem counties is close to what it was in November and lower in red counties, then the Dems will prevail. So far, it’s looking like this is the case.

CNN explaining that most of the vote we are seeing right now is early voting. Not to piss in anyone’s Cheerios.

Like Aspenglow said, today’s turnout is also looking better for Dems than Novembers.

So I’m wondering… Is this like the previous election where mail-in ballots were counted later, or this time around are the mail-in ballots counted first? I’m just wondering if things are expected to get better for Democrats, or worse.

According to Kornacki, it’s all over the place with Georgia. Every county tallies votes differently. Some count early votes first, some count absentees first, some count same-day votes first.

There are still a lot of outstanding votes to be counted from the metro areas around Atlanta. Obviously expected to favor Dems.

I think early votes were counted first this time for the most part. I am not optimistic at all, but I’d love to be proven wrong.

Dems leads have vanished
