19,000 ballots held up in DeKalb county outside Atlanta due to “technical issues”. These would presumably favor Ossoff. This is going to be another long election.
Meanwhile I see that the idiot Loeffler is off to Washington tomorrow to … do something, not sure exactly what, but basically to help in the great patriotic effort of assisting with Trump’s attempted coup. Quite the character. There are altogether too many lunatics running loose.
I won’t rest easy until Ossoff exceeds the recount percentage. This thread is somewhat reassuring but I still hate to see him behind. Not surprised to see Trump claiming that they will “find” just enough votes for a democratic win. I am surprised that Trump seems to care at all. Not sure how he will be able to make it all about him but I am sure he will find a way.
They have some downloads that they will finish in a bit over an hour. Then they will go home and try to finish the absentee later in the morning. It sounds like one more dump coming, then wait for daylight.
Decalb, Fulton, and Chatham are hovering at 95ish percent.
They just projected Warnock the winner. His lead is over 40 thousand now. He is up over a full point now.
Ossoff pulled into the lead with over 3000 votes.
The 2 of them got over 90% of the big dump from dekalb county.
If this holds, a big part of Trump’s legacy will be losing the Senate. Hopefully that will be the first nail driven into the diseased political corpse known as Trumpism.

Since Nov 3, Trump has lost his job, 60 court cases, 2 Senate seats and had his veto overridden. I’m not accustomed to this deluge of good news.

DeKalb County will manually scan remaining 19,000 ballots

DeKalb County, in suburban Atlanta, began experiencing vote count delays early Wednesday morning due to some kind of technical issue at the election office.
Due to these issues, an election official says the 19,000 remaining ballots will be “manually scanned to be tabulated and added to the total vote count.”
“Georgia’s voting system provides built-in-safeguards, in the form of paper ballots, that allow us to quickly process ballots that are electronically cast. These outstanding paper ballots are currently being scanned and the tabulation will be completed as quickly as possible and in compliance with State guidelines," Erica Hamilton, director of voter registration and elections, said in a statement.
The county is a Democratic stronghold.
Note that last line (my bold). My prediction: “Loeffler alleges massive fraud in DeKalb county.” 
These votes are mainly important for Ossoff’s win against Perdue, but Loeffler is the lunatic Trumpista.
I can’t decide which will make me happier, Trump losing the Presidency or McConnell losing the Senate leadership. Trump is crazy but McConnell is evil. I am a nonviolent person but every time I hear him speak I want to punch him in the face. I can’t describe the depths of my loathing for him. I know he will still have power but not as much. Here is my question, though. With Harris leaving, how long until her replacement takes office? How long will Ossoff have to wait for recounts to take office? Will McConnell continue to be majority leader and block Biden’s cabinet for months? Once they get to 50 Senators do they just call for another vote for Majority Leader?

Jan. 3rd is when the new senate was seated. Harris replacement was already announced so I figure he was sworn in.
The winners of the race will be sworn in after they are certified. Loeffler is still seated as she was a replacement. Hence the stuff about her going back to Washington to protest the rigged election.
Should warnock and ossoff win, chuck schummer becomes majority leader, and gets to set the rules for this senate session.
Harris may become a very busy vp as she will be the tie breaker.
Ossoff just jumped to 9527 ahead!
CNN, which moves at the speed of molasses in winter and has the brilliant insights of a rutabaga, has just decided that they should project Warnock the winner. 
The Ossoff-Perdue race has now changed on the high-level tally, showing 98% reporting, and moving off the 50-50 split with Ossoff now at 50.1% and Perdue 49.9. From everything previously said upthread, it should only get better for Ossoff.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the White House tomorrow, after the official presidential vote count in Congress. I suspect there will be a re-enactment of Der Untergang, only in Trumpspeak instead of German.
I love the “trend” that’s Ossoff catching and passing Perdue, but if they’re within 0.5% do we have to go through this whole fucking thing again? I keep hearing something about a 0.5% threshold.
