Why does 99 have a red pistol?
So it would color-co-ordinate with her outfits, while looking dainty and feminine.

Didn’t 99 actually say once that she was carrying a red gun because it matched her red shoes?
I thought it was because it matched her bag.
while we are here, is it just me or did Barbara Feldon have (particularly in the first season) one of the sexiest voices ever on a TV character. I swear, listening to her speak is like having Tia Maria poured in your ear.
I would expect her to have a different gun for each outfit. 
I was crazy about her, but I was thirteen.
