I’m getting repeatedly logged out and every time I click onto a new thread/page/whatever, I get booted into the new SDMB style - Sultantheme.
What’s going on? Issue on my side or the boards?
I’m not seeing an issue.
What browser and OS are you using? Do you have anything that might interfere with cookies? If something is cleaning out your cookies that will cause you to get logged out.
We have also had some weird cookie issues with some Apple devices over the years.
Windows 8 and Firefox. The being logged out happens every day when I first open SDMB and the switching versions happens literally every single time I click anything on the board.
Do you see a green padlock in the address bar?
How are you getting to the SDMB? Bookmark?
If you click on this link, do you still get logged out?

OK, what the heck did you do? I’m not logged out and the style didn’t switch and the green padlock is back…
You need to update your bookmarks (or however it is you are getting here).
You’re missing the https at the beginning of the links.

Also go to your User CP, drop to Edit Options, scroll down to the very last option, which is Skin Options. Make sure your default is set to Straight Dope v3.7.3, and not to Sultantheme.
I’ve had the same problem on and off over the years; especially when I go for more than 5 minutes without posting a message after logging in. For some time last year it was as little as a minute which is why I often hit the MMP first. I always wrote it off to some sort of cookie problem or the fact that both computers I use qualify as collectables.
Thank you for the help. Issue is fixed. So what caused my bookmark to change?
I didn’t want to start a new thread for this, because this may be the fault of my work network setup. I am logged in, and seeing ads. Unisys, I believe it was- Google, a large empty space above the masthead. Weird. At work I use an outdated Firefox because our Oracle software was not cooperating with the latest version.

It does not happen with Internet Explorer. Looks like my employer has found another way to F*** with me.
This (as described in the OP) is happening to me at work where the OS is Windows 7 and browser is Chrome; not happening at home under MacOS 10.11 / Safari. I was assuming it was some aspect of the corporate setup here, some setting systemwide that was eating the cookies or something, but then i saw this thread title. Hmm.
It’s not that your bookmark changed. It’s that recent changes cause the board to act odd in some ways with the non-https version.
