Cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom.I’m waiting to vacuum till Tuesday, since I have a Freecycle washer and dryer I’m trying out. Since I’ll have to move furniture to get it to the kitchen, I’ll run the Rollsuck Supreme then. It stormed earlier, now it’s raining again.

Howdy Y’all! 'Twas a nice day today. We deheathenated had a really big N.O,L., and achieved nappage. I made a peach cobbler so we had that with ‘niller ice cream. YUM! Then the biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can got hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I am commencin’ to feel sleepified so that shall happen shortly.

I’ve been going since 11:00. Time to relax.
I did absolutely nothing productive today. I’m feeling vaguely guilty about it, but I can’t identify anything I really should have done (vs the list of things I probably should have done). I even joined the nap club this afternoon, because the chicken sandwich and giant cookie were food-coma-inducing (albeit very yummy) and I was already a little tired. After I woke up I watched a bunch of reruns of Home Town on HGTV, then watched two episodes of My Two Dads and one episode of Family Ties on one of those nostalgia channels, and now I’m watching S3 E2 of The West Wing on HBO Max and it’s already after 9:30pm and I’ll probably turn in when this episode is over. Without having done a single thing all day. Oh well. 
I can tell that I’m close to needing a vacation, because I’m really wishing this weekend were one day longer. Just three more weeks until Labor Day, and a week after that I get to spend a 4-day weekend in NYC. C’mon, September!!
I do have one thing to look forward to this week: I get to open a job requisition! I’ll be looking for a senior technical writer/editor who has experience supporting a cybersecurity team. The cyber folks on my program have been asked to do more and more documentation lately, and they could use a dedicated tech writer. The team lead talked to me about it and then got our boss’s approval on Friday (our boss is the program manager). Right now I’m the only tech writer on the program, and so far the needs in that regard have been manageable but I also wear several other hats and it’s finally time to hire someone else. I’m very excited, not only because my number of direct reports will double but also because there will finally be another writer on the program. They’ll primarily support the one group, but will also backfill me and provide general support to the program as needed. I’m hoping to finish drafting the req tomorrow; the position should be open/live by the end of the week.
Well, the West Wing episode is over…time for bed.
