Yes, but Elias (and the Devil) is a bigger antagonist. And actually perhaps the Devil himself will appear in the next season? Perhaps in the Halloween episode?

If I had to bet I’d bet on Patience versus Elias. Bringing in the Devil opens a whole host of potential pitfalls–theological, racial, gender, etc.–for the showrunners.
