I thought they were already friends (from New York) OR they were the people that did that house renovations show that Jay and Sam talked about in early episode(s) of season 1.
I took from it that they were just Jay’s old city friends that he’s trying desperately to stay relevant with.
The beam of light was inside the masnion, and if it was one of the British shed ghosts, Nigel would have known about it.
Crash confirmed that teenage girl ghost is still there (as is he), none of the cholera ghosts are owning up to anyone being gone. Maybe the universe just fucked up and sent down a beam of light without sucking anyone off?
Good guess! I was thinking / wondering if it ties into the storyline where they were trying to figure out who put Crash’s head in the well. Flower confessed to it but it was just a drug addled, halfhearted confession. I really hope they get rid of the Crash character. He adds nothing and that would leave room for a more interesting ghost to be introduced
It was Higgentoot that hid the head in the well - Flower (at the end of that episode) just tossed it out the window.
I think it was the cholera teenage ghost that was with the teenage prom ghost - we didn’t see him at all in the mansion and it would be fitting that after getting sucked off, well, he got sucked off.
I wonder how Flower is going to get out of the well? Can ghosts climb ladders like walking up stairs?

Well, they can stand on floors without dropping down and sit on sofas and chairs, so I assume she can climb a ladder.
I agree but also they’re the only group they haven’t checked for the audience so process of elimination… And if Nigel was too busy wedding planning to pop in over at the shed… I dunno. Someone had to go and we’re running out of a pool to choose from…
As a thought experiment, let’s suppose once they discover Flower’s in the well, Jay goes down the ladder, Flower enters Jay, Jay comes back up the ladder, and Flower is free.
Except maybe since Flower had to stay in Jay long enough to get up the ladder, she gets stuck in Jay for a certain amount of time. Would Jay just walk around stoned for a day or two, or would he form a telepathic bond with the ghosts while still remaining (a stoned) human?
Imagine the possibilities of the ghosts being able to actually interact with humans for a period of time. And specifically, I’m thinking of a flower-occupied Jay and a Thor-occupied Sam lusting after each other while trying to be normal around regular mortals.
I thought Nigel specifically said he was at the shed and came running to check on Higgentoot - if it was one of the other soldiers, he would have had no reason to come running.
The last episode addressed it in a way, since ghosts could go through doors and walls but not the floor. They just hand waved it away (it’s just a show so just relax).
I saw an article before the new season started that pointed out that Jay can’t interact with most of the other characters, limiting what his character can do. That was a reason for him to set up the restaurant in the barn.
