I didn’t get the impression he was taking it that far, just "is it true? “is it true?” “is it true?” (sorry, I meant "is it true? “is it true?” “is it true?”) and dismissive sneers toward anyone who said “it doesn’t look true.”
I think I asked why it mattered and didn’t get a response.
Apparently the boat that was used in the open sequence is NOT the boat that was shipwrecked on the beach.
Here is a photo from the opening sequence, while here is a photo taken after the wreck.
Notice the differences?
The blackened hull, the truncated cabin.
Also, compare where the second window in relation to the “step” on the side of the boat. Compared to the shipwreck photo, the second window is back, and to the left.
Back, and to the left.
BACK, and to the left.
Coincidence? That’s what THEY want us to believe.
Up is down… Black is white. Why? The how and the who is just scenery for the public. Schwartz, Hale, Hawaii, the Professor. Keeps 'em guessing like some kind of parlor game, prevents 'em from asking the most important question, why?
Why was The Minnow shipwrecked? Who benefited? Who has the power to cover it up? Who?
They had to resort to cannibalism, obviously. To get to an island so remote that they would go years without being found, they must have been adrift at sea for weeks. The “free lunches” the Skipper had packed wouldn’t have lasted too long.
I measured the mast on my screen; it’s 1 5/8 " high. The center of the flag is at 1 1/4" high, and it’s pretty clear that there is no other mast in the way or any other pole, at least in that resolution.
But the center of a flag can never make it to the top. Better to measure the top of the flag. It’s at 1 3/8" from the bottom.
Therefore, 1.375 / 1.625 = .85. I say the flag is not at half-mast (or -staff), but seven-eights mast.
Perhaps someone was raising or lowering it at the time. Yeah, that’s it.
They were playing Offenbach’s “Barcarolle” from The Tales Of Hoffmann on the Music Choice Classical Channel last night, and all I could do was sing along, “Hamlet, dear, your problem is clear…”
Back to the eighth person. Even the castaways did not realize there was an eighth person.
It is obviously the real JFK killer, the shooter from the grassy knoll.
That is why they could never get back. The real killer cleverly sabotaged every attempt so as to remain hidden. Only when he finally died of natural causes could they finally be rescued.
I picked up the complete series today at Sam’s, $25. A few feet on, I put it back. AFAIK it’s not on any of the streaming services, so I may pick it up for keepsies to watch while exercising.
Then while drivign home I heard some babbling idiot go on and on about Tina Louise’s 79th birthday today (she’s 80) and that she is the last surviving cast member since Mary-Ann and the Professor died. Radio. It just gets worse.
Its available on Amazon Prime. Upon hearing of the Professor’s death that made me look it up. I have introduced my youngest daughter to it and she loves it. The other day we played Gilligan’s Island Bingo*. She won.
*Like regular bingo, except instead of numbers your card has things like “Maryann bakes a pie”, “Mr. Howell plays golf” and “Skipper says Little Buddy”. We made the cards custom on a website I found. We are looking forward to expanding the categories and would appreciate any suggestions you have.
