Girlfriend is getting impatient with my long stay in Asia for medical treatment; need advice

That needs to be 1 - 2 years during which you actually see a good deal of each other in person. (At least, unless you’re considering a long-term relationship intended to be also long-distance nearly all the time; in which case that needs to be made explicit.) Not just 1 - 2 years from when you met, during most of which you haven’t actually been around each other.

@Velocity’s already done that. And he keeps changing the goal. He’s changed it three times already, and wants to make it (at least) four. How can she – or should she – put any faith in any goal that he sets?

Yes, being with one’s loved ones is important! But if you figure out where you stand, medically speaking (possibly including second opinions) then you will know exactly what your options are.

Haven’t read the whole thread, but if the OP has no income, he could possibly return to the U.S. and get on Medicaid. Voila, free health care.

In Texas, Medicaid is only for children, parents, and people with disabilities.

I don’t doubt that for a minute.

Everything’s bigger in Texas. Including the “fuck-yous” to financially hampered folks needing medical treatment.

So I’m guessing this issue resolved itself…

Maybe. We don’t know what the OP/GF situation has done or not done since this topic was started.

We also never got a follow-up on the “the church wants to know how I produce captions so fast” thread despite my asking. I’m invested, damn it, don’t cancel the show mid-season!

'Zactly. Some trainwrecks are soooo much more enthralling than others. Who knew??!?!?!?!
