They could block me and kill someone else.
Oh, and one other thing: my “other actions” in your eyes were comments about MentalGuy (and whether or not other players were voting for him). Thus, the two things are connected, at the very least.
I might, if I knew what that meant.
Why are you so defensive that you’ve done something that has looked suspicious to me.
You seem to be concerned greatly with how people ‘look’ rather than on what they’ve done.
And were you not trying to defend yourself by pointing out that you’d done something that I agreed with. Even though the suspicious things had nothing to do with your vote?
And, by the way, with Mental claiming Cop, your vote doesn’t look so good right now, does it? :smack:
We also have a Jailer, who is basically a combination Doctor/Roleblocker, and his actions come first in the Nightly order.
And Gadarene, you are right about that sentence not being logically connected, but I don’t remember what chain of thoughts led me to write that.
This is a pain in the butt all the way around, then.
May we have a current vote count?
Damn, I got interrupted by one phone call, and 4 people posted while I was sitting on the preview screen!
The “suspicious” things had everything to do with my vote, as I’ve just pointed out.
Well, back to the player I think is scummiest:
vote pedescribe
No idea if MentalGuy is telling the truth or not, but it’s bad policy to lynch investigators in the early game.
I’m about to head home and won’t likely be able to check in until Monday. But since I’ll probably be dead, I guess it doesn’t matter. :smack:
Anyway, I think you’ll have some useful leads with the several players who’ve placed clearly anti-town votes on me.
 Get over yourself, Pleo.
Sorry, I was posting and didn’t see this.
Your other thing was a comment to Suburban about how he’d look if Mental Guy flipped Scum and Pleo flipped Town. It really had nothing to do with your vote. It had more to do with how Suburban would look.
At best, it was an attempt to coerce Suburban to vote for Mental instead of Pleo.
Whatever, ed. I think it’s ridiculous that this is even getting that much discussion.
IT HAD A SMILEY, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
Well, I, for one, happen to think that the reasons players place votes have some usefulness. Especially votes that are placed on the lynched player. There were five players who put votes on me that are anti-town. It would be foolish for the others to ignore them.
What ‘couple of people?’ If I’m following correctly (I didn’t re-read so sue me), I’m the only one to state my intention to switch. Zeriel (I think) was willing to switch TO MentalGuy. I think DrainBead might have said she was willing to switch off Mental, but only to avoid the tie and was (is) pushing hard for MentalGuy votes.
Who are these ‘couple of people?’
Bad.
Terrible even.
(1) As a Powerrole you are nearly lynch-proof as this is an OPEN game. However, by only claiming after much pressure and added pressure due to your NOT claiming, the weight of your claim is strongly reduced.
(2) Why would we think you’re trying to draw out the real cop? I didn’t think that. I would think that the Town Cop would be most concerned about NOT GETTING LYNCHED. If anything I’m thinking you are scum choosing the “OMG! we can’t lynch the COP!” defense.
I don’t believe MentalGuy’s claim. But I also agree with Ed that tactically we don’t lose much by letting him live at this point. The strongest scum power is roleblocker, so even if MentalGuy is the scum roleblocker, we aren’t losing much by not lynching him while we could lose quite a bit more by lynching him.
If MentalGuy is the Town Doc, then he is now essentially a Mason of One. I don’t see him being able to use his powers ever. To do so we need to kill the scum roleblocker AND create a Town Doc (which also creates another scum). SO not worth it.
Now I wish we had just lynched Pleonast yesterday and had been done with it. Damn that sachertorte and his desk calendar.
I’m leaving my vote on Astral on the assumption and approval of Pleonast getting lynched.
I’m also going home now.
“Anti-town” in your eyes only.
I’ll agree with this.
well fart a biscuit.
unvote mental guy

With these votes, Pleonast would be lynched.
Also: The day ends in 52ish minutes.
Ack. One more thing (then I’m going home … really)
Even if MentalGuy is scum, we’re in a pretty nice spot regarding the scum roleblocker. In order for us to believe that MentalGuy is not scum, they have to at least pretend to roleblock MentalGuy. Otherwise we would expect a reading from MentalGuy (assuming he’s alive blah blah blah).
Anyway, if someone else gets blocked (Jailer) then we would have evidence that MentalGuy is scum.
That may not buy us much, but if MentalGuy is scum, then it seriously scum’s ability to block the real cop.
And if MentalGuy is Town, well… Masons are pretty useful too.
You know I wanted to delete the “seriously” but for some reason deleted the “hinders” instead.
