Anyone watching this? It’s an Australian show. I just binged the first season.
Apparently it’s a big hit in Australia. I liked it.
Supposedly the second season is coming on Netflix near the beginning of 2017.

We just finished it, and we too were wondering about the next season.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, but as the story progressed I found myself not only being drawn in but actually caring about everybody.
The woman who plays Kate looks very familiar to me. My husband says he’s seen her on a few series here. Ditto the man who plays Paddy. I thought she might’ve been the woman who was on Fringe but he said no, that woman was taller.
I also like the fact that it’s a quiet show. Stuff happens but it’s not sensationalized which adds to the overall mood.
(For the uninitated, the story begins when six people spontaneously rise from the dead. They are not zombies but are very disoriented. A teenage boy witnesses it. The police are called and those who are rounded up are brought to the neighborhood clinic. One doesn’t join the group until later and befriends the teenage boy. Think of the now-cancelled show Resurrection and take it from there).
I didn’t think about it but I get what you mean about it being a “quiet” show. There is some shooting, a few fights, and even what could be called “chase scenes”, but none of it is over dramatized and those things are necessary to the plot rather than being there for their own sake.
It’s a very bizarre story, but I generally like that if it’s done well.
Season 2 just dropped on Netflix. Looking forward to it; loved Season 1.
I’m 2 episodes into the 2nd season. Its an interesting show but not great. The acting is very solid. Not sure what else to say about it.
I watched season one when it first came out. I really enjoyed it. I just noticed season two was available, but I haven’t started yet.
So I finished the 2nd season. The show feels slow at times, but I enjoyed it. It looks like the setup for season 3 will be interesting. A few of the theories expressed for why they came back seemed faulty to me.
Assuming we need spoilers:
James thinks they came back because of people thinking strongly about them but that fails to explain Maria & Carlo doesn’t it?
Just finished S2. I liked it, though I think I liked S1 more. S1 was more about characterization, while S2 felt like it was more about moving the plot forward. I didn’t care for the hand-wavey explanation the Noregard woman gave about the ‘science’ of the resurrections. I understand it’s more suspenseful not to have the characters explain everything clearly and directly, but it does get maddening when the ones who know something about what’s going on talk so circumspectly about it.
re: What Exit?'s spoilered question:
I think Maria could maybe be explained by her husband thinking about her. Despite his condition, he did recognize her in the nursing home. I don’t know about Carlo–we didn’t really get to learn much about him.
I wonder about which characters will return for S3…
from among the ones who ‘died’: Elishia, I think, must return from the dead, again. It was made clear that she was important, and the last scene pointed toward her return. Paddy’s arc seemed to come to a close, plus he turned to dust, which seemed kind of final. (Though with their resurrection magic, who knows?) I suppose Beau and his family could still make appearances due to his mom working for Noregard and of course Phil the oil-rigger/revenant-slayer is still kickin’. Sarah is probably gone for good, given her redemption and sacrifice at the end it felt like she was being written off. On the other hand, she is buried in the cemetery, in close proximity to the attempt to bring back Elishia.
Also, Kirstie’s pregnant? Is this supposed to be a child conceived back before she originally died? Possibly when she was raped before being murdered? That’s pretty fucked up.
Yeah, that is a very dark turn if that is where they’re going.
