Global Doper Kid Mail/Postcard Exchange

Melandry, your card from Rome arrived the day before yesterday. My daughter was SO excited and immediately had to show everyone her “real postcard from another country”.

Fairy Chat Mom and Captain, thanks again for your other cards too.

This was such a great idea! My daughter is thrilled and is also papering her walls like lauramarlane’s son.

I’m glad the kids are enjoying the cards. Just curious - have any of mine made their way to Australia yet?

YES!!

Thanks a bunch, FCM. Yours definitely hit the spot with my young bloke. He was well pleased!

Apologies, I was meanin’ to email you to let you know.

Well, I volunteered to be a sender, but didn’t receive any assigned name(s) to send to. Bit of a pity, that. :frowning:

Ah, well. Not to worry. If anyone wants stuff from a boring little joint called New Zealand next time, let me know.

I’m really pleased that this has gone so well, though. Wonderful idea, all, and well done.

:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

Sorry Gundy, I honestly read the signature as Cindy. My apologies and Thanks again for the card.

My pleasure! Glad you guys liked it!

My boy has been having so much fun with this – he’s loving checking the mail every day. He’s mentioned it to others in casual conversation (like, “Oh, I have a friend who lives in Maryland too…”)

Ice Wolf - check your email!

Thanks so much everyone! I put a memo board up in Lilpotomus’ room for all of her cards. Who knew something so simple would make a kid so happy?

FairyChatMom – many thanks from th’ South. You’re a wonderful gem.

I still don’t have my contacts either.

Ice Wolf, my pleasure. TLD - you’ve got mail!

Brilliant stuff. FCM, you rock!

All part of my charm, m’dear!

Are the kids still getting postcards?
How many postcards have they received?
Do your kids want to keep getting postcards? (I can probably identify your kids from your user name.)

I sent a bunch out last weeek… will send some more out soon…

Josiah is always willing to take if people are willing to give:D

How old is Josiah? His age doesn’t appear on my spread sheet, and it’s easier for me to write if I know how old the child is.

Josiah “Smiley Bear” is 7 and a half…

dinosaurs, dragons and superheros are the cornerstones of his world!

Mine were posted last week and should be received sometime this week.

My apologies for them being so late Persephone, but being bed-bound makes shopping difficult. Poor excuse I know. Sorry.

I hope your little one enjoys his postcards - 4 were sent.

If anyone else would like a postcard from Nottingham, England for their kids, please let me know and I’ll be happy to oblige

I wrote a bunch last night, will mail them tomorrow. (I’m assuming none of the little rascals will notice – or care – that the Chattanooga postcards have Philly postmarks.)

Sending mine off today or tomorrow. Apologies for the slack response but I’ve been busy, and thanks again to EVERYONE responsible for the ten cards my young bloke got.

Every other day, there’s been something waiting for him in our letterbox. Of course, now I’m trying to explain to him that this isn’t going to last forever…
