Go Team Venture! Again!

How better to strand them when they’re most vulnerable so as to get caught and without them knowing it was Copycat?

After the last episode, I’m seeing you in a whole new light.

And of course, it was too good to be true.

The Venture Brothers Will Return… (I don’t like the looks of those ellipses…mainly because I don’t remember them being there at the end of the previous seasons)

But if the show could say “Batman” (somebody did say it at one point), why did they go back to saying “The Bat” at the end?

Dean says Hank dresses up like Batman, but Hank refers to himself as The Bat. Hank really adopts his alter egos, and I think the point is that he never says he’s actually Batman.

I was disappointed with the end of the season. It was out of character for Dean to sleep with Sirena, Novia was a major character in one episode and dismissed in the next, and we never learn more about Red Death starting a war between the Guild and the Peril Partnership.

I agree–mostly. This and last season have seemed really disjointed especially compared to previous seasons. I’m rewatching season 3 now and there is such a clear ever progressing arc and these last two seasons seem like they had were written with little thought over a weekend by two people not allowed to talk to each other.

I do think Dean sleeping with Sirena makes sense…Dean is getting more immersed in the “real world” and is going to make those kinds of mistakes.

But overall… There’s a lot of good stuff in the season it just happens at the wrong time and doesn’t get followed up on in a timely manner.

They also lean waaaaay too much into self-reference now. It’s one thing to set up a joke but when its plot it doesn’t work. I didn’t remember what the Peril Partnership was and it’s literally 4 episodes after reintroducing that plot before they give you the exposition explanation.

Any idea who’s in the bear suit?

Oddly enough, I thought that Season 6 was more focused than the few previous seasons; the Blue Morpho storyline was pretty straightforward to me. The low point for me was Season 4 where Phantom Limb went crazy and then not crazy and then formed the lame Revenge Society.
