They didn’t use “president” either. Is MSNBC fellating the 'pubs, too?
My copy says that in a headline situation George Walker Bush is supposed to be referred to as “Shrubya,” “Former President Chimp-for-Brains,” “Misbegotten Piss-Poor Excuse For a Chief Executive,” or simply “President Bush,” so it looks like FauxNews is in the clear.
Give me the facts, present them to me without bias, and as best as you can obtain them, let me know you tried, and then, if you didn’t get the fuckin’ story you angled for, don’t start snivellin’ and whining about it, ya dumb ass piece of shit!
Well, I don’t go to their website, and by-pass that channel every chance I get. I favor CNN, (watch it with HLN being "tabloid’, mommy-friggers, okay?), but even THEY need to curb their fucking tongues.
Just (as a former award-winning broadcast journalist) sayin’, I mean.[/COM]
I dont care if they use president, or call him just Obama (although I think it disrespectful). What bothered me on Fox was that the FORMER president had the title, where as the current president did not. That struck me as a bit on the ball sucking side of the pubs.
Had they used first names for both, not an issue. But to specifically leave one off ( the one they hate) and name the other?? come on… worth a little scorn I think.
2cents: I can see both sides of this-it certainly would be confusing if the Bush name wasn’t preceded by a title. But really, how much extra work or time would it take to put the ‘President’ title in front of Obama? And I may be wrong, but I always thought it was sort of expected that you use the title when refering to any president, acting or not, out of respect. So I can buy the interpretation of Fox not using it even once for Obama in the OP’s listing as suggestive of disrespect.
It’s a fucking headline. They abbreviated “Alabama professor” to “Ala. prof.” and didn’t refer to Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney as “Governor” or to Scott Brown as “Senator” either.
Not likely. He had a 64% approval rating when he left office, and yet he didn’t even run for Mel Martinez’ Senate seat. I think he’s done with national politics.
