God I love Scrubs!

I just finished reading an interview with him (The Todd) and he says that he just likes to keep the act up while on set. Who knows.

My favorite episode with The Todd is My Lunch, where Carla and Elliot “convince” him that he’s really gay.

Of course this is all just an act to get closer to the girls.?

**Mahaloth **has exchanged emails with him, but I don’t think he knows him personally. That’s all I got after a search on his name. He does sound funny. In very, very small doses. And over the internet, where he can’t ogle my tits. Or high five them.

 the whole damn show!

The fourth sitcom in the new Thursday night lineup will be 30 Rock, which means that NBC will be offering two solid hours of sitcoms without a single laughtrack. Apparently, the apocalypse has been cancelled.

I hated 30 Rock and bailed on it after two episodes, but then gave it one last shot when I bailed on Jericho. That episode happened to be fucking hysterical (the poker game) and it’s been good ever since. So I’m as giddy as a schoolgirl for the new Thursday lineup. IMO:

Earl: B+
Office: A
Scrubs: A+
30 Rock: B

That’s fucking excellent, especially when you consider that NBC has always had a shit-eating craptacular trainwreck taking up at least one of the spots. (Veronica’s Closet?!)

And ER is back in form as well, approaching the quality of the golden era. Thursday nights are now “low-rated must-see tv,” and I couldn’t be happier about it. (ER is down about a half million viewers, and no laughtrack-less sitcom has ever rated well on any network.)

I adore sitcoms without laughtracks, and was pissed when that ABC one got cancelled last year. (Sons & Daughters, IIRC.) But this new lineup is easing some of that sting nicely.

So, NBC has managed to resurrect Must See Thursdays, again.

SiL is a doctor. One of the things that we took as pointers that she was… coming on her own as one was when she stopped drinking doctor shows. There was a time, back when she was preparing her apprenticeship tests, when every time she came home we’d have to drop all attempts to conversation or move to another room for one hour because, you see, ER was on.

Once, I was watching scrubs with Mom, our first episode ever, and she turns to me and says “you know, I think I might actually get to like this one. First, they actually make mistakes. Second, making a mistake is not the end of the world. Third, I think my daughter in law will hate it.”

She wasn’t very happy with the SiL at that moment, I’m sure y’all can tell. And by the way: Mom does love the show. And SiL does hate it.

I love JD & Turk’s devotion to dumb pop culture, such as putting Optimus Prime on the nursery wall, and that they watch Judge Dredd every time it’s on TV.

And of course (to the tune of Sanford & Son):

Baby, it’s time to watch the show
Don’t be licking me no mo’

Carla: Why is that ugly robot shooting the crib?

-Joe

Turk: That’s Optimus Prime, and I don’t think he’d appreciate you calling him ugly.

JD: No he wouldn’t!

Apparently I love Scrubs more than I thought. Last night I had an incredibly dirty dream about Perry Cox.

Of course, that could also come from watching 4 episodes a night. It’s the only show I make an effort to watch these days. It’s also the only show to have me in tears more than I care to admit.

Yeah, I love it.

Yes, and I’ve never gotten the vibe that he’s weird at all.
