a)It would be okay since he was with Turk, as long as a black friend is by his side he was safe.
b)Something happened when they walked up to the door and JD didn’t realize Turk has walked away and he rang the doorbell and stood there by himself.
Bonus: They decided to make another go of it at the bowling alley and virtually the exact same thing happened.
