You got a reply in less than an hour, I’d say that’s par for the course in GD. What’s the problem?
I posted [what I thought was] a really awesome thread in the Cafe a few days ago, and didn’t get a response. Like two days later I added some comments to it and still didn’t get a response. It’s so far back now that no one will ever find it. I still think it would’ve been a great thread but I’m not going to keep bumping it or shamelessly plugging it. You win some you lose some.
It’s important not to take it personally when not that many people respond to one of your threads, Mswas. It’s not like we’re all ignoring you, “Oh, no, there’s that Mswas, let’s not talk to him”, and we all cross the street to avoid you. I counted 9 responses, which is not bad for a kind-of non-mainstream GD thread. I mean, let’s face it, abortion and politics and SUVs and gun control and obesity and Sex and Violence are the Hot Topics in GD.
If you want a thread of yours to go to five pages in GD, you have to include the words “gun control fat gay Democrats abortion SUVs” in your thread title. 
You could try e-mailing Buckner and asking him to change your thread title to something like, “Should the First World try to educate culturally inferior Third World savages out of their propensity for rape, cannibalism, and violence so they can all have SUVs, too–or would that be imperialism?”
Shit happens.

I posted something that wasn’t even cool to me, and still noone cared.

But it didn’t bother me enough for a Pit thread. A Pit response, perhaps…

I know the feeling the OP speaks of.
I once started a thread, no one responded, and it sent my life into a downward spiral of drug abuse and crime.
However, there’s a positive side to everything. In my two years in jail I’ve managed to further my education quite nicely as well as becoming one of Bubba’s favorite bitches.
As you can see, I no longer hold a grudge with the fucking assholes at the SDMB that didn’t see my OP worthy of response.
Trust you’ll feel the same way soon – just stay away from Bubba or I’ll cut you.
Even worse is when I spend quite a bit of time composing a reply and when I go to post I find the thread locked by the nazi mods. What the hell am I going to do with my carefully crafted post now?

Which may be what SentientMeat is asking. Liver isn’t strickly meat, and neither is it meet or just to imply that the people who composed and posted thoughtful replies to one’s OP aren’t worthy of one’s gratitude and respect.
Personally, I thought your OP was interesting. I didn’t think myself qualified to add anything useful to it, but found what you and the others posted enlightening. But frankly, at least for a while now I won’t have as high an opinion of you as I did before, should you choose to take your lumps and remain a contributing member of this board.
No I appreciated SentientMeat’s posting. I thought what he posted was definitely in line with what I was hoping for. I didn’t start this thread until my thread was at the bottom of the second day page, at which point litost started responding. Anyway, I just started this Pit thread because I was annoyed that the thread seemed to be dying and I hoped to hear some interesting responses. I’m sorry to those that I offended with this pit thread
