I didn’t even know it restarted until I saw it was on last night (though I watched Stargirl). The first two episodes are available on abc.com.
Murry died, I guess that is one way to remove Jeff Garlin.
There is now a “This is a work of fiction” notice – guess that means no more or very few original video snippets (which to me was the best hook for the show) – hopefully they will have cameos of real life people (Brea Bea as as her mother?)
Of course since Erica is fictional the whole baby thing is fictional (not sure when/if the real Eric Goldberg has kid(s) ) – wonder what the real Geoff Schwartz thinks.

I loved loved loved that show when it first came out, now I have completely lost interest. Carlin’s shenanigans were the final nail in the coffin for me, but I’d been losing interest before that.

Last season, as Adam (the main character) graduated high school, seemed an obvious point at which to end the series and in fact it was supposed to end. But then, ABC renewed the show.

To me, the best part of the earlier seasons was the close relationship between Adam and his grandfather (played by George Segal).

I assume you mean Jeff Garlin?
