This thread is fascinating . I have had a time share in key West for over 20 years. I vacation there. I have tons of gay friends and acquaintances. They would be shocked to hear what a anti gay bigot i am. I am shocked too. But with all the evidence you people think you have, but don’t ,how could I argue?

Have you ever used the word “faggy” to describe something in conversation with any of your “tons of gay friends and acquaintances”? If so, what was their reaction? Or better still, in view of the statements made in this thread, have you ever asked any of them if they find the word “faggy” offensive?
Incidentally, it is possible to use offensive language without actually being a bigot. As a personal example, for years I used the word “gypped” to mean “cheated” until I was informed of the origin of the term, which had never occurred to me before then. Of course, that meant making some effort to avoid even the appearance of bigotry, something you are obviously not willing to do.
Apparently, the rest of us can now leave and just let gonzo argue against himself.

You bring nothing to any thread you join…which is why most posters simply ignore you and your posts, even when you are on their ‘side’. In fact, I’d say most 'dopers, finding themselves on your side (as I have from time to time, though you were too clueless to get it) feel a bit uncomfortable having you there…and perhaps have to do some deep thinking about their own position if they agree with you, even peripherally.
