There sure is a lot of discussion toDay, for having a proven Scum in the bag. Given that discussion is actually occurring, I think it’s probably premature for a final vote hammer. Yeah, yeah, it gives Scum more time for discussion, too, but Town (as a whole, not just power roles) needs time for discussion a lot more than Scum does.
Ed has a reasonable point about Mahaloth; when he bussed me in Random Mafia he was awfully nonspecific about what he found scummy about me until I wrote a case for him :).
So, this talk of Mahaloth needing a page on the Mafia wiki, are we expected to write our own? I probably ought to have one, too.
Yeah, most players write their own, although I know of a few placeholder pages were made for a few.
hey, chronos if you go ahead and get your page started i’ll help flesh it out a bit, so to speak.
just don’t take it too hard if there is some “editorial” comment included.
Hey, peek -
Without spoiling much, the Scum have a critical piece of information about a particular player that they have chosen not to expose. You could have exposed it during your own swan song, and Telcontar could do it now, but so far it hasn’t happened. Can you shed any light on this, because it’s frankly baffling to me.
What good would that do? Any statement by scum about to be lynched should be discounted by Town anyway. Even if they told the truth, they would not be believed.
…not by everyone. But it would create a certain air of suspicion about that player. There are power roles who could quickly and easily confirm the truth or falsity of the accusation. In fact, there are power roles whose only job is to do just that!
kind of what sach said. matter of fact anything that dying scum say especially during their “swan song” is typically even more highly suspect.
plus if it is information that scum as a collective have and it comes out later that they were right while someone else is also leveraging that information it merely points the arrow to that person.
it’s why i didn’t post a pm whether or not scum have some or not. shoot, stupid town is easy town.
neta: and by stupid i mean uninformed or just shooting in the dark.
I’m guessing that the Scum know who have the book, and it’s a lying Townie?
And I’ll probably do my Wiki page later today.
I would guess that the scum know who a PFK – probably the SK – is.
Wow. I really don’t know why Drain claimed.
I’m with you there. It seems like a no-brainer to use the pro-town power and not say anything until you’re back to being a vanilla. But it goes to show there was a good reason to lynch Tel and not vig him.
Of course this could also be a ruse to use one of the powers from the book in a protown manner and confirm Drain as town. I don’t have any suspicions of her but it’s the only way that claiming makes any sense.
Another possibility is that she’s planning to NOT use the spell and instead use her self-protecting flower, and is trying to draw the scum’s night kill to her.
I do know that I, personally, wouldn’t list a role with a power that can only be used once and under very specific circumstances as “vanilla”. In fact, Romanic’s power met that description, too, and he was listed as “special”. Might this be evidence of a botched false claim?
On the other hand, good claim by Mahaloth, who has a reasonable chance of being vigged tonight based on how Yesterday played out (though Suburban also looks shaky).
ETA: The timing would be pretty weird for a false Scum claim; there’s no pressure right now, and she’s not under any lynch pressure, not a likely vig target, and really not a likely SK target with the self-protecting flower in play.

still need two more over on giraffe for ulla and buff’s batman game.
if you have never played on giraffe it is kind of a different experience. kind of like mafia on ativan where each individual patient monitors their own dosage.

Maha also seems to have a one shot power and is listed as Special. Assuming Drain survives that Night I’d put my vote there in the morning. One of the best times for scum to false claim is when there is no pressure that way it’s more likely to be believed.
Besides based on the number of scum that have gone down, 3 I think, they may be down to two and feel it’s time to take a risk.
Unless Drain Bead knows more information that she’s not telling the rest of us, I don’t understand that claim at all.
And in light of peeker’s and story’s little back-and-forth there I have some doubts about Mahaloth’s alignment.
