Good idea, well implemented? (opinions please)

A poll/request for feedback on the idea of a website.

The teeming millions- I can think of no better crowd to ask for input.

The web-site I want you all to check out is a sort of a “how to” guide for guys that have questions about what women want, why they do the things they do- Advice on dating, relationships, sex…etc., answered by an average woman.

Of course the target audience is heterosexual males, but no one will be excluded.

Now, if you ask me what the credentials of this “average” woman are, I will have to tell you that the only credentials she has are that she is average.
Since I am not exactly new to SDMB, I know that a lot of you will ask me to “define average”. In this instance, I am using the word “average” according to my own, subjective, views. The average woman, to me, is: Smart, witty, and up on current events. The average woman doesn’t necessarily possess a PHD, but if she wanted to, she could. In my mind I think: “The Girl Next Door”. Someone you could have a cup of coffee with and carry on a decent conversation.

I am aware that the basic idea is not exactly new, but I think her implementation has merit, and has a chance to generate fairly significant traffic.

Any constructive input would be welcome.

I think it’s a pretty decent idea. And it’s nice to have a forum to bounce relationship-type stuff off of other people. You know, just to make sure you’re not crazy or completely misreading things. I know that happens around here a lot, so a place devoted to it would certainly be helpful.

However, I agree with the guy who says there needs to be more women there. I’d hate to have one woman speaking for all of us. So far, she seems pretty reasonable and level-headed, but surely at some point she’s going to say something that she thinks is normal, but that lots of women might disagree with.

So maybe a “panel” of average women?

Yeah. That way you can have a consensus on things, but also see potential differences of opinion.

That would be good.
