This just started happening to me today.
I have noticed if I go to a thread that has only one page the thread tools will work and it will display the printable version. In a thread with multiple pages thread tools will not work at all nor the search.
Sometimes I get run time errors and script errors. It seems no one has any idea of why this is so, no problems at all with the older version. I really miss the ability to view a long multi page thread on one screen.:mad::mad:
I am finding that single word searches are working but phrase searches like “NY Giants” are not.
Me no can search too.
(That is: I click on the search button, and nothing happens. At all. Using Firefox and Vista).
It seems to me that nothing at all has been addressed, aside from the site lockups. What was achieved today?
Ditto. I always get: “An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out.”
Then I am finally logged out when I click there.
I have seen several people say search is working and several say search is turned off. Either way I get the following when I attempt to search…

Search clicky thing does not work.

-I’m getting this when I logout, too.
-The problem with inoperative buttons in the reply edit continues: icons are there on a white background, but nothing works.
-When I try to do a search and click the button, it just appears that the entry page refreshes, but nothing else happens.
-It looks like the font used to display thread headers on the forum listings and the font used to display the posts is a point or two smaller than it was before.
I paid up a little over a week ago (before the subscribe option was disabled, obviously) and was listed as a member for a few days and didn’t see ads. Now that everything’s upgraded I’m seeing ads again, and I’m listed as a guest. Also, search doesn’t work.
With typical grace and elegance, I managed to re-up one day (yes, ONE DAY :smack:) before the announcement was made about free posting. Oh well. But more to the point, TPTB might want to re-word the re-up email. It’s not only terse, it’s kinda rude.
Oh yeah, and searchy no worky.
New glitch for me: I can no longer click on a username to get a user profile, PM them, add them to my ignore list, or anything like that. I can hover over the link and see where it’s supposed to go, but clicking on it goes nowhere.
ETA: I tried clicking on a username in both Safari and Firfox for Mac.
It is working for me in IE7 on XP SP2 as one more point of data.
Weird. It seems intermittent. I tried a thread in MPSIMS and it worked. Came back here and clicked on few member names and it didn’t, then it did, now it doesn’t again.
Like I just clicked on your username in the Migration/Upgrade plan thread and nothing happened. I went to the Doper Social Group thread, clicked on your username and it DID work, the the Baseball thread and it DIDN’T work. (Um… not stalking you or anything, just testing.)
Maybe there’s some teeny tiny part of the page that isn’t finished loading and won’t let me click on a username until it’s done or something…
Nope, just went to the Wee Bit Hypocritical thread and tried there and it didn’t work. It was 100% loaded. Then I reloaded and reloaded again and it didn’t work. Went back to the Baseball thread and it did work, but it didn’t before.
Some script must not be loading properly.
Ok, for me, whn I click on a members name it no longer gives me the drop down choices of send PM, ssearch for more posts by, etc.
It works if you right click on it and open in a new tab or window. It looks different from before but pretty much has all the same info.
I’m both. Sometimes I can search, sometime not. Very sporadic. But New Posts always works, and isn’t that a sort of search??
Sorry - didn’t read the whole thread, but search this forum hasn’t worked for me the past few days.
I have a problem. I’m paying not to see ads, but there’s a great fat forum there devoted to selling a book I have no intention of buying.
