I just used the pistol that kills in one shot. full armor and 150 health also help, i had 78 health remaining when all were dead, then lost the chasing cars in the back alleys (surprisingly easy to do. several other missions i have lost pursuers in back alleys in little havana or little haiti.) Also went there in a cop car, so the sirens on that helped when driving away.
I went in guns blazing on that one too, with an uzi. I escaped in the trashmaster that seems to always spawn for you to take. It can take massive damage, and the other cars ramming you doesn’t have much effect.
I beat all the missions, and then started over. This time I’m using a cheat guide to get all the packages first, so I can use all the fun toys on the missions (I only found 50 on my own the first time through). I also am doing all the taxi/police/pizza/fire missions so I can have the bonuses for most of the missions. I also wanted to get some damage proof cars from the Guardian Angels mission (kill Diaz to fail the mission and then take his car). I bought all the places with garages so I can store them to use on later missions. It’s fun to be invincible.
Any suggestions for passing vigilante missions? I have trouble chasing crooks around at places like the airport, trying in vain to flip over their cars, or at least get them out of their cars so I can shoot them.
Well. If you want to do it a wimpy loser way. You can steal a tank and basicaly ahniliate everyone. I was disappointed to see how easy it was to get up to Level 12 using the tank.
Otherwise, having a clean car close by to steal is a good tip. Plus, plenty of bullets.
You can take the FBI car , the undercover Cheetah (Which blows up REALLY easily.), and the FBI Rancher to the Pay and Spray, so that’s an option, try to get your car fixed up as much as possible.
Use driveby shooting to damage their cars enough so that they get out. Watch out! They may have shotguns. Drivebys help keep your car lasting longer.
The prize for the Pizza Missions is WELL worth it. Really cool. And not that hard.
I tried doing some Fire Missions last night. It’s extremely tough! I got up to level 4 and had a flaming car running away! Geez, help yourself you flaming morons.

After taking out the first group of guys with brute force in the Death Row mission. I used my sniper rifle to take out the guys that are standing guard near lance. It saved me some armor (This was before I had gotten to 150). The drive back was the problem. I just avoided those Comets as best I could.

The first thing i found when playing was a rampage right across the street from the hotel with the cocktails, which i passed easy, and a firetruck showed up. i stole that and got to level 9, but could not get passed 11 for the longest time. i tried the airport trick mentioned in this thread, that worked at first, but then the cars got progressively more north, and finally level 13 (which i failed) ended up at Hyman Memorial stadium.
At least my strip club is earning me money now.
new quest…vigilante missions. I’m hoping the minigun and rocket launcher helps, but first i must stash FBI cars in all of my hideouts

Hey, did you guys know you can make taxis jump? When you’re driving around, hit both R3 and L3 simultaneously. It’ll activate the Taxi Missions, but more amusingly, your car will also leap at least one standard car-height in the air. It doesn’t matter which model taxi you’re in-- it works with both of 'em.
The trick’s great for playing leapfrog with the cops. 
About the beach balls:
Find one, and kick or shoot it in the air. Try to bounce it off Tommy’s head. If you succeed, a 1 will appear in the air. Keep bouncing it off your head, and the numbers will count off how many consecutive bounces you get. Once you’ve done this, a stat will appear on the stats page that says “Highest score with Keepie-Uppy beach ball” and your highest number of bounces.
You can find a beach ball at the mansion across yours on Starfish Island. It’s the one with the empty snowman-shaped swimming pool. The ball is usually around or inside the pool.

I think you missed the message when you reached 100 taxi missions. Once you get to 100, you get a message that says all cabs can jump, just press the horn button and it will jump. Before that, I wasn’t able to make my cabs jump. I did it last night. Had 50 taxi missions at one time.
Well, I used that super cool Zebra Taxi, still 50 is pretty impressive.
Has anyone tried the races or demolition derby over at the Stadium? It’s pretty cool. I haven’t been able to win the race, but I did pretty well with the demolition derby. I can’t tell when you have to go to get in. I think I was there at 8 oclock and able to participate in the race. It seems if you go during the day, there is no door to go in.
I love the bank robbery outfit. It looks like something Hanibal Lecter would wear.
Toughest rampage so far for me. Is that one out in the middle of the water. Not only do you have to complete the rampge, but complete it without destroying your own boat.

Anybody have any hints/advice on how to pull off the bank Job mission? My cohorts keep getting killed while I try to maneuver for some advantage.
Whew. Finally got all 100 packages tonight. Took a week’s worth of work, but I like the reward. Nothing like flying down the beach firing missles at the sunbathers :).

About the Stadium:
It’s only open at 20:00 and closes at about 01:00. Then event depends on what day you go at. Theres 3 events, The Hot Ring(Nascar style race), the Blood Ring(Demo Derby) and the Dirt Ring(go through all the pink markers on a dirt bike)
pricciar, thanks. I did miss that message. I use the Taxi missions to get me acquainted with the town, so I don’t really concentrate anything else when I’m doing them.
The jumping is awesome. KKB cleared a bus last night. Oh, yeah, and he finished the game, too.

Stuck at 75 packages, and only know where one of the 7 rampages i have left are. it looks like its back to running around on foot for me to try to find more things to do. (or i could do storyline missions, but where’s the fun in that? killing people is much more entertaining)
Hot ring my highest finish is 12th, but it always seems like it is lame dirt Ring night when i want to go play at the stadium. the rampage in the water i just nuked my own boat, it counted toward the total. then i went swimming with the fishes
