Great things about a Trump presidency.

As a White (well… pinkish beige) Guy I’m pretty excited to be able to ditch my high-pressure, demanding gig running this corporate network and, instead, get me one of them there returned manufacturing jobs that pays a decent, middle-class salary! Think they’ll start handing those out around February?

The best thing about a Trump presidency will be the hilarity of listening to his incoherent ramblings. Of course, this was a lot more fun when it had no real consequence.

It will be short, as Trump is going to get bored and frustrated and wander off after a couple of years at most. Then we will have President Pence, for better or worse.

Lots of wall-construction jobs for our friends south of the border.

Why would he get bored of being on TV all the time, and the monthly rallies, and the ability to tell the FBI to investigate every one of his enemies, and figuring out how to make more money?

You don’t think he’ll do any actual work or learn anything, do you? That’s for suckers.

  • The White House is gonna get some major renovations. Can’t wait to see the new Gold House in all its tremendous splendor! It’s gonna be yuuuuuuge!

If anything, satire is dead and Trump killed it. Satire usually involves taking relevant features and exaggerating them or putting them in a different context. You can’t do this with Trump because he’s already maxed out.

Yep. And I’ve also read the Constitution - especially that part where spending is controlled by the Congress more-so the House. The President controls very little if any of the budget. So your chart is meaningless but thanks for playing.

So your attempt to throw stones at Obama in that regard are nothing more than throwaway campaign lines that are not based on reality.

Poe’s Law has not yet been repealed.

Well, hey, they’re less likely explode in derailments than oil trains.

Congress is responsible? Fine, read this about the passage of Medicare Part D. In a nutshell, Republicans proposed a massive entitlement, tried to cover up what it would cost, made no attempt to pay for it, and broke rules to get it passed.

If sunlight is a great disinfectant, I guess we can be pleased about the global warming impact.

Trump defeated Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 23. That’s pretty cool.

It was rigged.

If you think that the past few months were upsetting, just you wait until 3 years goes by. The battle for the next 4 will be even bigger and more contentious than this one.

I do not know honestly.

I can’t think of positive things he will do for the US and I’m really trying.

The closest I can come up with is that he will prove that there are no easy answers to the complex situations, and hopefully make people slightly less inclined to fall for cons in the future. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong. That is Trump’s entire foreign and domestic policy. Simple, clear, wrong answers to complex problems.

But objectively positive things? I don’t know.

He is the only GOP candidate who proposed protecting programs for the elderly (SS, medicare, medicaid). But I do not know if he will stand by that.

Early in his run he said that medicare should be able to negotiate Rx drug prices. But that will not happen because congress doesn’t want it (neither party wants it).

Donald Trump just got elected as the actual fucking President of the United States. Pretty sure satire is dead as a doornail now.:smack:

Yes, unless those god damn democrats block the republican president and republican congress from doing so.

Nice try, but no.

His followers will all hear that Trump tried to solve their problems with his no-nonsense, tell it like it is, common-man solution… but the nasty lefties and immigrants and “others” stopped him.

They will learn to hate “others” even more and continue to fall for cons.
