Yup, that’s me. Still have Cleo, the nearly 4yro corn snake, and Seymour, the 2 1/2yro ball python, although both reside in my classroom during the school year. The menagerie is actually quite a bit larger than just the snakes…we have 2 cats, a dog, 2 snakes, 2 horses, and a 45-gallon aquarium. Add one rugrat and the collection is apparently complete.

Padeye I don’t remember too clearly, although I apparently met him at DopeToberFest in 2001. (That is just a blur of faces to me now…I remember Johnny, Coldfire, and Heloise, but the rest is a loud blur.) What a sad and terrible way for him to go–I hope several Dopers were able to either be there in person or send on their respects, which it sounds like they did. Yeesh.

If I were any better I’d be twins. My husband and I are celebrating our 8th anniversary today. We moved from cold NY to not so cold NC, then to south Florida. In our quest to get closer to the equator, it appears we’ll be relocating soon to Key Largo. All is well, my critters are all good (3 dogs now, I adopted an adorable stray terrier 2 years ago) and my same cat. Same job as I had too, which is going well- I was promoted and transferred to FL, which is how we ended up here.

Crikey, it’s like I just stepped into a time machine in here. There’s people I haven’t seen, and names being dropped that I haven’t heard, in ages.
