Grimm

I can’t wait.

I think that Julia will totally flip out, and next season will see her quibbling for at least 4 episodes. He will end up telling Hank, and Hank will then understand about the hexen bitch messing with him. I don’t think the oriental dude [serious brain fart on his name =(] will find out about the wesen until perhaps the middle of the next season. I can not see he or Hank not finding out about the wessen since they seem to keep coming into contact with them. I think the Captain who seems to be the Master of the City [in vampire terms] just wants a peaceful well running city, and if he can have a Grimm as an apparent ‘enforcer’ seeming to be working for him to keep the wessen in line he would be happy. Not sure if there is a specific potential Master of the City in the area pushing him or not, or if he is just having troubles with random wessen pushing him from fractiousness.

I am seriously looking forward to more seasons. I hope they keep it in the format of mainly wessen of the week with a tiny story arc.

Good episode–plenty of Monroe, which is always welcome. We got a little bit more explanation about the appearance of the wesen–how they can choose to show their true selves to normal humans when they want to.

I think it would be good if both Juliette and Hank know the truth. With Hank, Munroe, and Rosalee, Nick would have a pretty good team to back him up. Especially if he has to go up against this cabal that the captain is involved with. I’m not sure how Juliette will fit in there, but she’s shown that she’s not a shrinking violet in the face of danger and her veterinary/medical talents could come in handy. I like her, so I hope they don’t let her in on Nick’s secret only to get rid of her soon after.

I was going to say “not much happened this week,” but in fact it did – with her running the DNA test, it shows that Nick may be able to persuade her that he’s not out of his frikkin’ mind when he tells her. Looking forward to a good season finale next week, and a great season next year!

As this episode made clear, couldn’t he just start with plainspoken exposition and – as she raises an eyebrow – have Monroe wolf out and change back in front of her?

It was obvious that the doctor was behind everything, but I was hoping he was not when he talked about treating Nick. The idea of Nick seeing a wessen therapist is an idea I find very entertaining. It’s obvious that Juliette and/or Hank will find out Nick’s big secret next episode, but I’m waiting impatiently for when Nick finds out about the Captain’s.

ETA: someone on another board mentioned this: we now have an idea what wessen DNA looks like, but what about Grimm DNA?

I’d guess you’d need to a do a pretty deep analysis to ID a Grimm from DNA - other than the ability to more easily spot wessen, and I guess maybe some far end of the bell curve physical abilities, I think a Grimm is human.

I’m only starting to watch regularly, though, so maybe there is evidence of more non-human abilities that I haven’t seen.

Wessen (sp?) can spot Grimms though. Like I said before, when a Wessen morphs and then notices that Nick’s a Grimm; What does Nick look like that gives it away?

Nick doesn’t necessarily need to morph to another form to show himself. Perhaps he just gives off a scent or something that let’s them know that he is grimm. It seems that those who do morph know when they are doing it, so the fact that Nick doesn’t know tends to point that its just a scent or something like that.

Good episode last night. Juliette will find out next week, which is something. But, it also seems like Hank will eventually find out, which I don’t like, I liked the secret society working in the background while Nick is able to fight them while not seeming to. But, maybe this will help them I.D. the captain.

What are the chances that either Hank or Juliette is some kind of creature? I think that Juliette could be whatever the captain is.

I don’t think it’s a sent. Monroe doesn’t need to morph for his senses to work. I think that Grimms look like Grimms all the time, but normal humans can’t see it.

I think Hand needs to be told about what’s going on. Otherwise he’ll think that he’s going crazy.

I originally thought that Juliette was something, but the way she’s acting now suggests otherwise. Of course if she is then she either doesn’t know it, or else she does but the writers are cheating by having her act all innocent even when no-one else is around.

Also, while I think about it, I would have like to have seen more flashbacks and dreams with his aunt in them. I guess he’s catching up pretty quickly and doesn’t need her help or guidance though.

Sort-of-an-answer here.

Cool, thanks.

Yes, she did a great job for the injured horse that she wandered away from to investigate and then hung around the crime scene the rest of the night. I’m guessing the horse died of a raging infection later.

Also, I work with a lot of vets, none of them know how to run DNA tests nor would any plain old vet clinic have the equipment for it.

She didn’t have the equipment – she called up a pal at the university.

I loved it when Monroe rolls out of bed, obviously scenting danger, tussles with a wild and hairy beast, and then says, “Larry?” Somehow something named Larry does not have a very scary vibe to me. I cracked up.

Anyone know if the show will rerun over the summer?

Yes, it’s rerunning. (I saw something about Tuesdays at 10:00 but I can’t find it now.)

I both loved and hated the season finale. It set up three plot lines, but resolved none of them! One cliffhanger would be enough.

It resolved that Nick is both insane (god, what a horrible way to try and convince someone "see look - its got drawings and this stuff is REAL, REALLY!**) and one hell of a fighter - he literally took it to the yakuza dude.

Yeah, I was hoping either Juliette or Hank would find out the truth–and actually believe it–by the end of the episode. Oh well.

I can forgive that because… Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio! I love her.

I agree  I have to feel a lot of sympathy for poor Larry. All he is trying to do is tame his inner beast and he gets screwed over by the Doc. I know the Doc didn’t mean to, he was trying his best and sometimes fecal matter occurs.:frowning:

I agree, maybe just the sleeping beauty cliffhanger.
