Grimm (half) season six discussion thread

Starts tonight (January 6, 2017). Glad I looked at the TV guide, as I saw no advertisements at all.

Many questions to answer…

Brian

I’m in!

I didn’t watch it until tonight.
Looks like Eve/Juliette is not COMPLETELY de-wesened. And the stick (piece of the True Cross?) has some interesting side effects.

Not sure I like what the previews showed:

Using the body morphing spell

Anyone else watching?

Brian

oh, and I noticed that Eve/Juliette is now credited as Elisabeth (instead of Bitsie) Tulloch (IMDB says this isn’t new, but it was the first time I noticed)

Brian

Heh. Caught me by surprise. I thought it was starting in two weeks.

I’ll have to watch it Sunday.

Not a whole lot to say, since not a whole lot happened really.

I forgot Wu got turned into a werewolf. A very ugly werewolf.

Eve advised Nick not to carry the Jesus stick all the time. I wonder if that’s foreshadowing something.

Nick gets to wear Renard’s body. Does that mean someone else is getting pregnant?

Huh? how did i miss that? Are you referring to when evil-child was controlling him when he stabbed Bonaparte?

The body copy was shone in the preview for episode 2 (or at least a future episode)

Brian

A lot of shows are having that problem lately. I didn’t miss this, but did miss a few other returns. Hell, I missed something like half a season of Teen Wolf.

I’m watching, but time shifted to Sundays. This one was just reminding us where the last season left off. Could have been done in a synopsis. Seemed like a waste of time.

I thought it was a good episode and that the story it told was necessary to the plot.

The kid is (of course) ridiculously overpowered (surely there have been Hexenbeist/Zauberbiest babies before - although maybe Renard being royal can be fanwanked into it). I was really expecting someone to suggest using the stick to switch Nick back (I was certainly talking to the TV about it).

Yeah, the scary superpowered brat that can’t be controlled is pretty cliche. I think all the babies in this show is part of what killed it.

Interesting seeing Meisner again. I was kind of hoping someone would use the Jesus stick on him, but is that even the real him?

I actually am surprised I’m still watching this show. Might as well finish the series I suppose.

I don’t really like the baby sub-plots either. And I really dislike the change of Renard from good guy to bad guy.

The best part of the show was when they killed off Juliet. I didn’t mind her coming back as Eve because that was a character she could actually pull off as an actor. I know, I know, I’m being extra snarky. But she really is a terrible actress.

So… Rosalie is going to have a litter of puppies?

Is it just me, or does Meisner’s “ghost” sound different than when he was alive? I thought he had a vaguely foreign-sounding accent before, but now he just sounds like he has a regular American accent. Maybe because he is just a figment of Renard’s imagination?

Watched pieces of one of the episodes, otherwise as I said elsewhere, I thought where we ended up after the big fight and the big bad being killed was a good ending place for the series. They should have simply wrapped it up with Reynard as Mayor and Nick as Captain. The Royals and Black Claw both smacked down. Life is good type thing.

Darn it, I was hoping to be the first to comment on Rosalie’s litter.

A cicada wesen? Why not!

It seems they find an excuse every episode for Renard to take off his shirt.

Speaking of Renard, his rings were gone after that episode in the shop, right? I wonder if that affects the cursed ring that Bonaparte put on Adalind.

Oh, and that was a nice twist at the end with the intended victim in the park!

Anyone still watching? I’m happy to see creatures of the week again. Wonder what’s planned for the penultimate March 24th episode, predicted by the cloth - hoping for a doozy!
