I am not going to try to make this a real rant. There have been supreme rants based on the subject. I just want people to tell me when they figured out the subject of the rant.
Well, I am waiting for a package to come, right? I also mention that I live in a student residency, so I have a buzzer in my room that people can use from outside, so I have to go the the main door of the dorm to open the door. It doesn’t really happen very often because all of my friends usually come by my window (I live on 1st floor) or they call me or whatever. Whenever someone rings the buzzer I know its someone that I don’t know. I figure that it must be the UPS guy or something like that. Did I mention it was 8 in the morning? Did I also mention that I had gone to sleep at fuckng 3? So here I am sitting in my bed completely naked soundly asleep. I was having a nice dream too, but all of a sudden in my dream I hear this buzzing sound. Normally things like that get incorporated into the dream, but this time I managed to realize what it was. Okay I realized that I had a package coming, so I knew I had to hurry and get there before he left, because those guys don’t really like to wait very long. I throw on whatever clothes I can frantially trying to get to the door before the guy left. When I get to the door I knew something was wrong. I see some young black guy in a cheap suit, and a girl, and some other older woman. Now at this point, I knew there would be no package, but for some reason, LIKE AN IDIOT, I open the door. I knew this fucker was trying to sell something, but I didn’t know what. I just wanted to get it over with.
First I started off talking in German, because that’s what you do in Germany. And this guy immediately knows that I speak English somehow. He started talking to me about trust. I don’t know what the fuck for, but I started to get the sinking feeling that I was being preached too. He asked me if I thought I could actually trust strangers and I said that I didn’t think I could. He said, “well you opened the door for me,” and I replied sleepily “I thought you were the package guy.” That kind of threw him off, because this was his segway into the idea that you can trust God even if you don’t know him.
Bingo! I knew that this wasn’t going to make me happy. He then went on to explain that he just went up to the door and looked for English names to ring to talk to. WTF is that SHIT? He went on the reach for some scripture from L. Ron. Hubbard, or some shit like that before he realized that he hadn’t brought it. :rolleyes: He then gave me some pamphlet which I just took and got the hell out of there. I glanced carefully at the pamphlet before I threw it in the trash as I rounded the corner. Yep, you probably already knew. Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Now, I don’t know if I am correct or not, but something about this other than being woken up after 5 hours of sleep to be preached some shitty little sermon by some college grad pisses me off. For some reason it pisses me off that he rung me up soley based on the fact that I spoke english. Does he not care about the souls of all of the other people in that building that don’t speak english? Why the fuck doesn’t he learn to speak German? Something about this smacks of arrogance. Maybe there are Germans that need saving, but I will only work on the Americans because most germans are unreligious heathens anyway.
But I will admit there are lots of these fuckers in Germany though. They pick up kids who walk around in the Sunday best all over Germany preaching. I think it must really piss people off! Mostly they are the mormons, but now we can confirm that the JW is here too! 
What’s truely funny is to hear these kids whenever they are alone. Its like they are having some kind of competetion as to who can be the nicest.
You know I am a Christian, sort of. I have serious doubts, but I certainly don’t think that God, if he exists, would condone a lot of the shit that is done by modern religions. Especially the religious right. I would imagine its much important for people to love one another than than bash gays. But that’s just my opinion
