Agree. Looking for anonymized stuff, just for closure. “she was buried close to her dear brother” or that sort of thing if there’s any comfort to be drawn.

The family’s reception was on Friday and the funeral was yesterday (the 18th) morning. The family lived in the north suburbs of Pittsburgh, which is where the cemetery is. I found out too late to even consider attending. I don’t know anything about family connections to the church, etc.
Donations were suggested to a local food pantry, but I was considering making a donation in her memory to the National Epilepsy Foundation.
I just did a $50, in her SDMB name. Miss you Guin

I’m in shock. Guin was one of the pillars of the board. And she wasn’t that much older than me, either.
I’m very sorry to hear about her passing. What a terrible blow for her family and loved ones.

On the pronunciation of her name. I always read it as “Guy-nuh-stay-zha,” but that’s wrong, and it had five syllables: “Gwin-uh-stay-zee-uh.”
Hmmm. I always read it as “Gwin-uh-stah-see-ah”. Did she ever state the correct pronunciation?
Yep, but I’d have to dig it up. You have the right way, except it’s ‘stay’ instead of ‘stah.’ (I rendered it incorrectly, too. It’s an ‘s’ sound in the fourth syllable, not a ‘z’.)
I figured it’s Guinevere-crossed-with-Anastasia. I think that was from the kind of fairy tale stuff she liked.
Wow, I’m shocked. I had thought she was in her 30s. The idea that she was elderly never occurred to me.
