Meh, being offline is highly overrated. I don’t know about Guin obviously, but for me I spend a lot of time online because I have very little need for human contact and in general the outside world holds little interest for me. Online, video games, reading books etc makes me happy and when I want/need interaction I seek it out.
People saying that someone needs to ‘get a life’ when they’re doing something they enjoy should mind their own damn business.

It just freaks me out that some people spend so much time online, and makes me wonder if they just might have their priorities a bit skewed.
Snarky OP? Sure, but it is the Pit and while I like to read the boards, I obviously don’t post enough to give a shit, or need any kind of validation from the responses of other posters.
It’s just a fucking message board, and the amount of time I spend on it, or any board for that matter (unless I’m researching something related to work, etc) is so miniscule as to be irrelevent to any part of my life. For some of you, your mileage obviously varies.

Personally, I find your OP shrill and defensive and your followup to the driveby is equally lame and lacking in any sort of class or merit. Guinastasia, on the other hand, has been nothing but gracious in the face of your squeaky little diatribe–thereby indicating that perhaps your exhortation to get a life might be directed 180 degrees from where it’s most sorely needed.

I SOOOOO do not get the point of the OP. I’d wager that many of us spend Guin’s amount of time on-line. The difference is that she actively interacts while many of us just lurk.
I have four different names I use on-line. All of them are the same person with the same mind behind them. You can find D.E.S.K.Top668, but the other three I use are unknown to (the generic) you.
Time spent on-line is to me is time NOT spent in a bar/club drinking. Instead of silly TV shows, I’m on the PC. Time on the PC is time not spent dealing with co-workers/neighbours I have little (if anything) in common with.
In short, Klaatu, I don’t get it. Are you pitting Guin for spending too much time here? If so, how much time do you spend here, reading but not posting? It is that she spends too much time on-line? If so, her and hers can be the only judge of that; you don’t know her and can’t tell if she spends too much time on-line.
Klaatu, the only person on-line you can be the judge of is you; everything else is JUST a guess.
Guin spends too much time on-line, according to whom? Does she effect your clothes washing, beer drinking, and/or p0rn surfing? If not, It’s not your fucking business. Respond if you agree or disagree. But if you’re tired of seeing the same fucking name, it’s your problem, nobody elses’.
