Guns, Runs, & Zev(u)ns - a Russian currency conspiracy MMP

Last night I found myself eating hamburgers barbecued by a friend of mine, while I was standing around in his wet clothes. (He’d let me go swimming in his pool with his old clothes on because I hadn’t brought a bathing suit. :stuck_out_tongue: )
That was the best shenanigan I’ve had in a while. What a cool party!

I envy you.

Well, soccer practice has been called off due to a large quantity of rain in the area. Went to the Credit Union and withdrew a sizeable amount of money, which when added to my Mutual Fund dollars (already pulled), will set me up an annuity to kick in next year. So right now I seem to be set for my life-time income, and barring 1970’s style inflation setting in, it should be sufficient to allow me to lead the life which I’ve become accustomed to. Celebrated by going to the store for Bread and Butter.

First time I won’t have a Mutual Fund in my name in over 20 years. Could start a hell of a bonfire with all the paperwork I’ve accumulated over the decades…

Still awaiting the painting contractor (due at 3PM).

That is enough to buy a new disguise each time you go to the bank?

Home. Very busy day. Chillage needed…

Spidey, I’ve seen those ‘guns’ they use in the Olympic biathlon and I’m not sure they should even count as rifles. I think they should be required to use rifles that the ordinary person can walk in off the street and buy at Wally World.

I’ve met a number of Dopers in person over the years but the onliest one who still posts in the MMP is Swampy. Some day I’d be very happy to meet any and all of you, however, so long as you aren’t carrying pitchforks and torches.

Well, my chicken gnocchi soup last night was good, but iffen I’da wanted to make bacon soup, I’da made bacon soup, and saved myself some perfectly good chicken breasts. I did realize, however, that gnocchi in soup tastes remarkably like dumplings in soup, which gives me ideas. I’ll make it again, but without the bacon, and probably without the spinach.

Tonight I think I’ll try a recipe for corn chowder with shrimps I found in a diabetic magazine they were giving away at Walgreen’s.

It’s hard coming up with interesting things to cook for dinner all the time.

Home. Earworm, drinking beer and over it11111?

Guess the earworm?

Take out that hubs will procure. Moanday all day long.

Supper consisted of smoked chickie strips from yesterday, chunks of Amish 'maters, and punkin pie with the last of the whipped cream. Happy tummy.

We might get a t-storm tonight. Or not. We shall see.

Howdy Y’all! Home from invadin’ the Vestry meetin’ over to the church house. Our case has been stated so we shall see what happens from there. Whiskypalian style democracy in the works.

To answer the OP, I’ve met about a dozen Dopers, including a couple of Mumpers (ruble and doggio). I actually hang out with one Doper fairly regularly, including last Thanksgiving where her sister (also a Doper) was in attendance. I would like to meet jsut about anybody from the MMP at some point. If you get to Nashville, PM me and I’ll stand you a round.

I never met a Doper I didn’t like, but then, I’ve met no Dopers.

And we like it like that!

C’mon — SOMEONE was going to say it
Work was just work. We have some new ops managers coming aboard so its like having company; all the other managers are trying to put a shine on the turd we’ve come to know and (sometimes) love.

So the freakin hotel took all the m oney out of my account ,not just the chuck I owed. And tried to pass the buck to my bank. The complaint department was nice, but useless. I foresee going Bbbobbio on someone farther up the chain of command tomorrow.

How did I forget Persian food with red?:o

I understand.
You are the only fellows who are not sickened by your collective body odor.

Iffn I shot the others, then they’d be DNF, which would mean that I was still DFL. :smack:
I find it interesting that the [del]varmint[/del] Rabbit gets that we’re not shooting at people. :dubious:

Still can’t play the piano with it.

::blushes::

Except for the fact that they’re no longer in production, what they provide is quite reasonable.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and mostly clear with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. The heat index, however will be over a hunnert, which means there’s always a chance of a stray tstorm. I call those kinds of storms popcorn because it’s like the heat and humidity get to the point where the storm “pops” like a popcorn kernel. Today is laundry day. Not a lot of it but I do have a load of undies and a load of towels that need a good wash and dry. Other than that, who knows. Cubed steak with onion gravy is on the menu for dindin. Smashed N.O.T., and leftover green beans and squishes from Sunday shall provide the vegetation. I plan on attendin’ an ecumenical prayer vigil for Charlottesville this evenin’ at another local Whiskypalian church. I may even go to the liberry today.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then purtification and laundry must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Back to work. It’s ungodly humid out.

We were both pretty tired last night, so we went back to bed around 8:30. **FCD **crashed immediately, and I watched a little TV because that usually knocks me out. In fact, I slept thru the last 10 minutes of South Park. But as soon as I took off my specs and turned off the TV, my brain kicked into high gear and it took over an hour for me to fall asleep. Dammit.

Then I woke shortly before 4. Life is cruel…

But I’m up, dressed, and at my desk with a big mug of Diet Coke, so I guess I’m ready to start the day.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday!

It’s a cloudy 69 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 83.

I woke at 3:30 ish and never got back to sleep.
I hate that it is still dark at 6am.

The cat ran down to the basement this morning. He didn’t come up when I called, so sooner or later I’m going to have to let him up. I suppose I could have left the door open for him.

Other than that SSDD

I slept a little better last night. Today I’m going to try to finish setting up my room. One of my aides is coming to help in the morning. The other has been contacted and will return, so that’s good.

Off to pack for school…
