That’s wonderful news, Soapy!
Thanks!
That is fantastic news, **Soapy. ** I’m so glad.
So if I’m gonna burglarize your house, I gotta find that “Buried Fiber” pole, right?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 88 for the day. A typical mid-Spring day here in paradise.
Soapy great news! You’re right YAY for modern medicine.
gotti everytime I see a backhoe or other heavy equipment diggin’ on my road or up at the main road I wonder how long before no cable/internet/phone service. Mayhaps even power. One just never knows. Call before you did is not sump’n they seem to keep in mind around here.
This is the big weddin’ weekend. We’ll head up tomorrow. Mom and Frank want all the kids to walk down the aisle with ‘em. That should be a parade cause there be a bunch of us. So, we get to play weddin’ rehearsal tomorrow afternoon followed by a cookout.
Now I must needs more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. At least it’s Firday.
Happy Firday Y’all!
With these guys? That doesn’t matter. They just wanna see swimsuit.
I’m very jealous of everyone who knows even a little German. I’ve always wanted to learn and now it’s probably too late…
Morning guys!
Morning! Look! It’s morning!
Can I go back to bed now?
Good morning! And awesome news about your mom, Soapy!
LONG day yesterday! Big project is ready for implementation this weekend and am already moving into next 2 big projects. (Both of them together are nowhere near as big as this one, though. Thank heavens.)
Sounds like it will be a great wedding, swampy. Best wishes and congratulations to the whole family!
Time to get up and face the day…
ETA: Hi, LiLi!
Hugs all.
GT
Happy FIRDAY.
Soapy, now that IvoryMom is doing better, will you tell us how the phone-terview went?
I wasn’t a hero for very long. Yesterday we got word from the higher ups that they think the raw material was already machined wrong. If so, we’ll have to do some fancy footwork to keep the customer from blowing a gasket.
I’m still waiting for confirmation from the vendor, though. ::crosses fingers::
Belated blurfs.
I ran bambilance last night, and actually have a short tale for later.
In last night’s e-mail, I had the expected request for me to sign the property checkoff for the third time, and, as threatened I said no. The low-level contact lady I’ve been doing this with naturally blew a gasket, and I’m sticking to my guns. If she wants a signature, a suit from corporate will call me and explain in painfully explicit detail why this is happening, and my personal consequences if I don’t.
I love it when a plan comes together.
ETA: Morning project is to take VWife’s Pile of Fur to the vet for treatment of a suspected respiratory infection.
I need a “Doper Dictionary of Terminology”.
I have no idea what an MMP is, for instance. Don’t know what “teh” means and same with the term “blurf” and now “bambilance”.
Quasi
Quasi, most of your answers are here.
Bamiblance isn’t listed. I moonlight as a volunteer EMT, and the term came into use a couple of years ago when I was running in a very rural squad in North Carolina, for my penchant for hitting deer with the booboo box.
I do wish you folks wouldn’t use technical terms that some of us do not understand.
Afternoon all!
Does anyone want any rain? We’ve got far too much of it (and we’re still officially in drought, somehow).
Got plenty of slugs too, which have been taking advantage of the wet to eat lots of my nice plants, that were hardening off outside, but I really don’t think anyone wants them…
Hopefully, I’m going on a basic domestic plumbing course tomorrow, which should be interesting- I say hopefully, because they’ve not bothered contacting me at all, and it says on the course list that I need a basic tool kit, but I don’t know what that really involves, in plumbing terms. I was expecting a call to let me know what to bring, and that hasn’t happened. Oh well, it’s a free course anyway
Happy firday!
Ah seen whatcha did there, WonderBob!
Thanks for the link!
Quasi
I don’t think I mentioned, I did not get reappointed as Marketing Coordinator for the chorus for the coming year; my inner petulant 11-year old has been whining and stomping her feet all week.
Udderindat, it’s almost Quit O’clock!!!
Hello! You may stop fretting, I am here and I am fine!
We left early for breakfast and Annapolis, and it took maybe 90 minutes for us to see the whole boat show, including spending some time aboard a really nice, new, shiny 38’ Catalina. We didn’t ask the price, but I’d guess somewhere in the $300-400K neighborhood. I was a *niiiiiiiice *vessel.
But now we’re home. The oil company guys are installing the new tank. Our well will be drilled on Tuesday and we’ll have new water on Wednesday. Not sure when the guys filling in the well will come - probably the week after that. So it’s all coming together.
We’re going to do weenies or brats on the grill tonight - that should be yum! Other than that, just another freekin’ day in paradise.
Happy Firday!!
Howdy Y’all! Irk is over. YAY!!! I took a couple of hours in compensation for last Sattidy’s gig.
OYKW wants to swipe the General’s dindin tonight. Fine by me cause I didn’t want to cook. BTW for those that don’t know, swipin’ the General’s dindin means we’re eatin’ General Tso’s Chicken, hence, swipin’ the General’s dindin. Creative ain’t we!
We also need to make sure our Sunday shoes are all shiny for the big weddin’. Probably go ahead and pack as well cause at least for me, I do better packin’ the night before.
Or maybe a nappy poo. One never knows!
