Guy in cubicle next to me WON'T SHUT UP!!!

I also have a bellower a couple of cubes down. I try to be patient because I know she takes care of her mom, who in her advanced age is probably hard of hearing.

I’ll take her over the other lady who spends all morning making personal calls and works a little in the afternoon. Gee, wish I could manage my personal life during business hours, but I figure they’re paying me for a reason.

I have a very loud-talker in my office, too. He’s all the way down the hall from me, and you can hear him even if he has his door closed. I don’t mind it, but it drives the people on either side of me buggy sometimes. He has a lovely german accent - I like to listen to it.

Man, I’m glad I have my crummy little office.
I feel so much better.
Thank you. Thank you all.

One of the reasons I took early retirement was that I was SURROUNDED by people who talked endlessly to anyone who would listen. Not to mention those who would bring in their ‘singing fish’ (…take me to the river…), listen to old comedy cd’s over and over, etc. When the talkers started denigrating other employees and I complained, of course it backfired on me…management did nothing, and I was the bad guy for being a rat.

I have a client who stops by and has been known to talk for 45 MINUTES about how busy she is at her office - I am not kidding.I think her boss sends her on errands just to get her the hell out of the office.
