Guys - do you like long hair on girls?

I should have made it a little plainer. The skin of an aged person, where it produces hair, is, of course, also old, so it produces, “old” hair, if you follow me. I would imagine that a hair from the head of an 80-year-old woman would be different from that from the head of an 8-year-old girl, even if the color is the same.

These days? Have we been transported back to 1977?

She’s still around, isn’t she? She still has ankle-length hair, doesn’t she?

I believe she is still alive. If I am ever kidnapped and dragged to Branson I’ll let you know. Point remains, the words “these days” “popular” and “Crystal Gayle” do not belong in the same sentence.

Apparently I’m an outlier. I think short hair on a woman is sexy as hell.

I wonder if he meant changes in hair texture? Hair often becomes coarser, more porous, and more wiry as you age, all of which can make it really hard to keep longer hair adequately moisturized and contribute to making it look really scraggly.

Well, I’m sorry I bothered you! Maybe you think she should give up and live in a cardboard box on Main Street or something like that!

That makes sense. As I age it has become rapidly apparent that those grey hairs taking over my head are truly unruly!

Hey! Quit flapping in the breeze! Lie down up there with your little brown friends!

This works for me too, even though MSU said that 11 years ago.

Sometimes people wake up on the wrong side of the bed and have a bad day. The ones who always find that wrong side of the bed, and purposefully get out of bed from that wrong side, now that is truly a gift.

Heck, yeah! Sure, I’ve seen some women with short hair who I thought were pretty sexy, but with all else being equal, I prefer a woman with long hair over one with short hair every time.

Let me put it this way: Until you adduce a contemporary celebrity with hair as long as Crystal Gayle’s, I shall continue to give her as an example.

At her current level of “celebrity” she may very well be for all I know.

Oh please. She was an outlier even in an era of long hair for both sexes. Of course there are not any other examples. But saying “These days Crystal Gayle seems to be the popular one with long hair” is a stupid statement to say in 2014 that you got called out on. It sounds like something my grandmother would say about Paul McCartney. "I hear he’s very popular with the young people. "

I accidentally resurrect a zombie (still don’t know how)and it ends up being more popular than 99% of the posts I start. I’m not sure I know how I feel about that…

I have no real preference, but I don’t really like super long (past the shoulder blades) hair. Off-the-shoulder is probably my favorite length, but a short pixie cut can be quite cute, too. But it also depends on the person. Some people look better with longer cuts. Others with short crops.

Actually, I like to see hair just long enough to fall off the shoulders.

I acknowledge that Crystal Gayle is an anomaly, but then again she is accustomed to her super-long hair and knows how to handle it. It might be a nuisance to other women who wouldn’t want to have to maintain long hair–which may be why a woman wears her hair shorter as she grows older.
