I wear a gold wedding ring with an unusual triangular cut diamond on my left hand, on my right I wear an “engagement” ring in gold, diamonds and sapphires, and a plain silver ring. Javawoman and I both got engagement rings but wore them on our left hands until we got married and exchanged our wedding rings.
I like jewelry generally speaking. I think I’d like one of those men’s bracelets in gold or silver, but I’m not sure how it would look on my pasty Caucasian skin.
I used to wear silver rings on most fingers. I designed each one myself and had a pro silversmith create each one. It went well for a few years, and then a girlfriend expressed strong disapproval, off they came, and I never went back.
Signet ring (gold) (21st birthday present from the 'rents)
Wedding band (gold) (from the Beloved )
No wrist watches, except when travelling. They’re not jewellry, they’re tools.
No earrings.
Cufflinks - pair of silver ones that my Dad gave me (he wore them to get married in); gold and black onyx ones that my Grandad gave my Dad (both of these sets are real links, not flippers); and gold with blue insets from my honeymoon (the Beloved, again )
Three different pocket watches: other Grandad’s; best man’s gift from a buddy; and 1982 Constitution watch, for the occasional Supreme Court appearence. (Hey, they have time limits - and it’s a lot classier setting it out from my waistcoat pocket than unstrapping a wrist watch.)
