gytalf’s thing seems odd to me too but strangely, I don’t get a creepy or violent vibe from him. It sounds like he has a pretty good handle on it and does not have any confusion about the difference between cartoon fantasy and reality. It also sounds like he didn’t have much control of how this paraphilia developed. He appears to have a safe outlet for it and no desire to “realize” it, so I don’t see anything to get outraged about. If anything, he seems remarkably self-aware about it.
Thanks a lot, Diogenes! I do have a very good handle on it, and I have a certain level of “self-awareness” that helps me control my violent, depraved, and deviant urges (I am really just kidding – there was never any chance at all that I would ever act on the fetish in real life). I also have a lot of fun with it, as someone else has commented! I want to thank Johnny Hildo for starting the thread – it was rather fun getting pitted! You know, come to think of it, there was a big hoopla over at the “Comic Arts Fans” Yahoo Group when I opened my gallery in March of this year. One guy asked the moderators to close it down, called me a pervert, a menace to society, etc. The moderator said that the art was only slightly disturbing, not “beyond the pale” enough to merit closure. The only stipulation was that I do have to report to the police every few weeks, and let them check my basement and yard for bodies – just kidding, of course!

Don’t take that the wrong way, what I meant to say was… well there is this one poster, who was “mentioned” earlier (not by name) who sort of has a reputation for sharing TMI with regards to his pornographical preference. Due to this he now carries that label, so no matter where he posts or even on what topic everyone instantly thinks of this about him. It could be a thread with NOTHING to do with porn, but when we see his name that’s the first thing some of us think about.
