You know… you’re right! :smack: Despite having worked with school age children for 12+ years, I had forgotten, in my rush to be “cute” and “funny”, that many of the kids would scrape the cheese off their burgers on cheeseburger lunch days.
I voted Other, because sometimes I feel guilty for having the cheese. All the diet tips say skip the cheese. But I always miss the cheese. It’s never as good without the cheese.
I personally would rather have a smaller or leaner burger with cheese than a bigger, fattier one without. If I were trying to watch my fat intake (which I’m not; because of the surgery I had a few years ago, protein and fat are my ideal foods; better for me to skip the bun!), I could also go low-fat/fat-free on the condiments. BBQ sauce, steak sauce, mustard are all good choices. But the cheese is crucial!
Poll seems to be wrapping up.
I have to admit, even I am surprised by the huge majority of cheeseburger lovers (myself included).
I got to wondering when I went to a McDonald’s recently and saw the lonely hamburger on the menu and couldn’t remember the last time I knew someone who ordered one. Granted, McDonald’s is not exactly fine dining, but it got me wondering enough to start this poll.
Just yesterday, we stopped at In 'N Out (the great West Coast chain) and the place was jam packed with people - all ages, races - and walking around I only saw cheeseburgers. So - I guess this poll shows that I am not alone, and that cheeseburger really have become more the norm than an alternative.
