Happy birthday, Bob, BTW, there's a helicopter in your yard... This week's MMP

Well, they won’t be using my yard this morning since they won’t fly in Indian weather. Apache fog…

That’s two puns in one. Just try to top that, bitches!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienated.

That’s all I got right now.

Up and caffienating after having cleaned up another doggie mess. Dammit. I was up past two am taking the dogs out every hour.

It’s going to take several cups to wake me the hell up.

FCM, I hope they decide they don’t need you at the meeting.

Other than that, I got nuttin’.

Everybody is on vacation… well, not everybody, but enough people that we were remarking on how, if it wasn’t for the high-traffic freeway outside, we’d be in a perfect setup for the start of a horror movie. Right now, of about 80 desks I can see from mine, only those of our team are occupied.

Several of my coworkers have asked whether I’d been home lately/be going soon/etc. With Middlebro, Sil and the Kidlets at the village, Mom in Barcelona and Littlebro in Brussels, what would I be doing there, say hi to Mom’s plants?

…Ninja post…

Mornin’ all and Happy Tuesday …!

Other than that, all I’ve got is kinda … blurfy! Great story on the 'copter landing, BBBBobbio.

 Power went out AGAIN last night. For three hours. Transformer went AGAIN. This is unacceptable!

Great story and pics, Bobbio.

I’ve been up for a while, being lazy. Gotta get moving. Need to recaulk the tub today. Woo hoo.

Back once stuff is accomplished.

Hugs.

Back in the days when I had my mad scientist lab, my hunchbacked assistant asked to take some days off so he could chase powder out in the Colorado Rockies. However, the night before he left he fell ill with the flu, and cancelled his trip.

When he got back to work, he vacillated on the decision to take medical leave or vacation time, to the point I was starting to have trouble getting payroll out.

I finally blew a gasket, and yelled at him, “Make up your mind, Igor! Sick or ski!”

No, no, Rebo, that is not a ninja post. This is a ninja post.

Getting to work. Now. Really.

I am not working.

Great pictures, bobbio! I like how the blades look warped as they’re spinning!

Today’s looking like it’s going to involve a lot of waiting time. Yippee.

:vrooom…:

:waves on the way past:

A miracle, I managed to get up early-ish (for me) and mow most of my front yard. I wanted to get something done before the heat stroke temperatures kicked in. I also sprayed some weeds with weedkiller. My plan is to repeat this process for a couple more days and work on my side yard and back yard in sections. Then I think I will salt the earth so I don’t have to mow ever again. Yeah, I could pay someone to mow but I am trying to put that money toward tree trimming, something I definitely can’t do myself.

Up and full of coffee and yet still really really can’t be bothered and I have a ton of stuff to do today as well…

Steaks were good last night…dinner tonight is shrimp fajitas. I think. Maybe…

Good pics, Bob!

I just finished some salad and pasta from a local restaurant, and am already fighting the food coma. I think I need something sweet to ensure full coma-osity, though. grin

Other than that, I got nothin’. At work we’re kind of between taskings from our customer, so I have very little to do. It’s both a blessing (beats actual work) and a curse (I hate being bored). I have one report to compile first thing every morning, so it’s nice to have something to fill that first 40-60 minutes, but then the days just drag. It’s to the point where I wish I had more meetings to attend. It’s sad, folks.

I’m looking forward to taking Bailey to the dog park later. She loves the dog park. She’s such a good girl, and she spends ~9 hours a day alone in the house while I’m at work, so I like being able to let her run and play with other dogs.

I also hope you don’t have to go on Wed! But the offer will remain open if you’re interested. I’ve met several other Dopers in real life, all of whom are still alive and well and (mostly) speaking to me.

It’s EYE-gor!

Errand runnin’ accomplished. Yet another trip to Staples for the ink cartridge I forgot yesterday plus another trip to the post office and because I was out the grocery store because there was a sale on peanut butter. Who could resist that!

Anywho it’s really heatin’ up so da bear is glad to be in the a/c. Dindin tonight shall be cubed steak and gravy, rice, black-eyed peas and steamed cabbage cause I got more cabbage that will go bad shortly if it is not used. I’m leanin’ towards frozen bizkits which I will bake bein’ as I’m thoughtful and bizkitsicles really are not as good as they sound.

This is a low motivation day for me. Even the one thing that I put effort towards accomplishing has backfired. Rah.

For Hal - In the following statement, our friend Sticky demonstrates correct use of the anti-yay:

The puns in here are…very painful.

Also from back there somewhere, the jazz singing opportunities sound cool, Misnomer. What style do you sing?

Sticky. I believe your motivation is currently located in Columbus. I have: called the plumber about coming back to finish work in the bathroom, removed as much caulk as I can without caulk remover, done 2 loads of laundry, and eaten lunch (including a couple of squares of chocolate with almonds - yum). To avoid coma-osity, I am going out to Lowe’s and Target in search of: caulk remover, caulk, a filter for my vacuum, and a pitcher for lemonade and iced tea.

Back in a bit.
