It’s now officially *Simetra’s 24th birthday! Since I’ve started his birthday threads the past two years, I felt I’d be a little remiss not to do so again, even if the circumstances have changed. To any extent, I hope you’ll all join me in wishing him the happiest of birthdays.
Whether or not he realizes it, Simetra has had a tremendous impact on my life. He’s taught me (directly and indirectly) that there’s a lot of beauty in the world, and that it’s worth the effort to seek it out. He’s taught me a lot about who I am and who I want to be and who I can be; for this, I’m ever grateful. I really feel as if I’m a better person for having had him in my life.
Bon anniversaire, Stephen. I hope this year brings you nothing but happiness.
And let’s just pretend I didn’t completely screw up the coding on that, OK?

Now I could list 1 million different reasons why I think you’re a great guy, but I’ll only list a few.
- You always manage, without fail, to make me laugh.

- I think you’re beautfiul, inside and out.

- You are a passionate and dedicated person.
- You don’t laugh at my awful taste in music.
- You promised to send me an air force t- shirt.
Blah blah blah. Now I could go on and on, but I will spare the rest of you from my burblings. I’m sorry I’m not the most elegant of speakers, but I hope that my point gets across.
