As most of y’all know, Bomb Bay Doors is also known as Aaron. He holds a special distinction on the SDMB: He’s the first baby born to parents who met on the SDMB.
And today is his first birthday. This time last year, he was a small, wiggly pink thing who would lie there, sleep, eat, and occasionally dirty a diaper. At birth, he weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 inches long. Today, of course, he’s a bit bigger: His last doctor’s visit showed a weight of 23.8 lbs. and I have no idea how long he is.
He’s also capable of doing a lot more than sleeping, eating, and pooping. He’s now crawling, stands up by himself on a support, and can even climb a few stairs.
This morning, Airman, Aaron and I are going for breakfast, and this afternoon, we’re going for lunch to a local restaurant with the relatives.
So, kiddo, a very happy birthday from your Mom and Dad, and many more!
Well, we had a very nice party for him at a local Italian restaurant. As soon as I find the pictures from the party, I’ll be happy to post them.
Aaron got all kinds of really cool presents. He got clothes, a book, some toys, and a really cool basketball hoop toy that displays the letters of the alphabet. Bubbe and Grampa also started a college fund for him.
Happy birthday, happy birthday, we love yooooou
happy birthday, and may all your dreams come truuuue…
When you blow outthe candles, one light stays aglow
It’s the love-light in your eyes, where e’er you go…
