So I was making a creamy mac’n’cheese for the office potluck today and I decided to season the water I boiled the pasta in with Bacon Salt. I added a liberal amount of Bacon Salt to the mix and the pasta turned out to have a bit of a savory flavor. When combined with a processed cheese product loaf, some condensed milk, and some real cheese and cooked in a crock-pot it gave it a nice, distinctive taste. I’m off to the party to see how the rest of the office likes it.

Oh, and Bacon Salt is vegetarian and Kosher. So you’re not allowed to take offense at this post.

Autolycus, you can’t be that clueless regarding the difference in situations. The jokes against Leaffan were pretty much invisible to anyone not actually reading his one Pit thread. Those who were not reading that thread would never know that “mocking” was even going on. In addition, a few people messed with their locations for a few hours, then put them back the way they had been. Posts taking shots at Opal are specifically targeted at her in a way that will be recognized by most posters and they are going to be around as long as the SDMB.

Beyond that, no one is actually being prohibited from mocking her. There is a multiple page thread in the Pit that is dedicated to that sole purpose and no one has been told to lay off or be nice.

Jali, you are being silly, as well. (Not to mention just making up nonsense.) Opal is not being given special treatment. It has long been the practice of the staff to prohibit stalking and constant harrassment–sometimes even in the Pit and always outside the Pit. In this case, no one has been told to refrain from the “3. buckeyes” nonsense in the Pit and posting it outside the Pit is the sort of thing we have never permitted.
