Has anyone seen the BBC 'Being Human'?

So, season ender tonight-thoughts, comments? The last line certainly was reminiscent of the Angel finale. Even snuck in a guy named Wyndam!

Note that those of us watching the third series in the US are a few episodes behind the UK airings, so please try to use spoiler boxes if you talk about the series ender. (We just saw the fourth episode, called “The Pack.”)

Holy crap! I won’t spoil it for the yanks on board, but… holy crap!

I’ll bet you £10,000,000 they don’t do that in the American version.

And Americans who are watching but behind on the UK series 3 - I sincerely recommend that you go in spoiler-free.

I’ve watched up through episode 9.

Can someone explain to me Mitchell’s behavior??

Can you be more specific…?

Lots of things, but mostly…why did he ask the wolfboy not to kill Herrick? Just because he wanted to?

He needs to know how Herrick came back from a wolf attack which ostensibly killed him, given that Mitchell himself is now under a “wolf-shaped bullet” prophecy.

By the way, I didn’t actually finish watching when I posted before. I thought it was over, but it wasn’t.

now I wanna know how they’re going to bring back Mitchell. They can’t go forward without Mr. Angst.

Yep, helluva finale. George definitely has his moments.

And I agree thatthe group need a vampire of their own, although I can’t see Mitchell coming back. They could drag the teen vamp (Adam? I can’t remember) back but he’s a bit of a lightweight.
Also, the continuity announcer said that the show will be back in 2012. We’ll have a long time to wait.

They will have to - Aidan Turner has been cast in The Hobbit, and asked to be killed off. Personally I think it was a great ending, and would almost prefer them not to make another series - but I also think Buffy should have ended with S5, the wonder of OMWF notwithstanding.

What are the chances we’ll get ghost Mitchell?, but no one can see him except babywolf and he just hangs out in the baby’s room alternating between ranting at everyone for being idiots and playing peekaboo? He could leave prepared bottles around the house as a clue:smiley:

Nooooo! SPUFFY is what it’s all about… Without Spuffy, what’s the point of it all?

So, the season finale aired in the US tonight. Holy crap! I did not *actually *think they would go there!

I was expecting that *someone *(probably the new Big Bad Vampire) was going to knock on the door just moments before George would have stabbed Mitchell, but they completely got me with him *actually *killing him minutes after!:frowning: I thought George was going to stake the new baddie only to find out that it wouldn’t harm him or something, not that he’d turn around and kill Mitchell! Wow!

Does anyone know if the writers of the US version were already familiar with what was going to happen in the 3rd series of the UK show? There have been multiple plot points in the UK 3rd series (the “dog fights,” Nina’s pregnancy [and the baby being farther along than expected], and 1000 year old vampires being referred to as “the Old Ones”) that have also happened in the US version, which made it confusing at time to remember what was going on on what show, as they are airing pretty much simultaneously here. (The US finale is Monday night.)

Is the US version supposed to be a combination of all 3 UK series in one?

I don’t know the answer, but I did notice that the US show was borrowing elements from later series of the UK show. And I agree that it’s confusing to be watching both at the same time. (I was also watching the US versions of Skins and Shameless at the same time, and also experienced the same confusion.)

Just got caught up on the BBC version. Wow! Interesting ending. Not much to say outside of spoilers.

I wonder if the teen werewolf will be around? He disappeared kinda without explanation. I kept expecting him to come bursting in at any moment.

How long is that filming taking that he had to that when the show doesn’t even return until 2012?

Well they started filming in March of this year and filming is expected to take over a year, as they are shooting both films at the same time. Which is in keeping with how long it took to film LOTR. (Around 18 months of principal photography.)

Possibly, but he has his own little series, Becoming Human, as mentioned earlier by Gyrate.

No, Adam Jacobs was a teenage vampire in Series 3 and will be in Becoming Human. But levdrakon asked about Thomas MacNair, the youngish werewolf from Series 3. I don’t think Thomas is in Becoming Human.

Oh right. :smack:
