Has no one started a Big Bang Theory Thread this week?

Yes…I’ve compared Sheldon’s evil grin with the Grinch’s in the original TV special.

Sheldon pretend smiling is supposed to be creepy and we’ve had a lot of that. Sheldon smiling for real? Rare and creepy. At least, according to me.

I dunno…real D&D would involve frequent use of a bong, and the show does stoner humor fairly well. Remember the time Leonard, Howard, and Raj went meteor watching and got the brownies from the unseen women in Grateful Dead shirts?

“The world is spinning too fast! Slow it down, Leonard!”

What’s happening on BBT? Is Sheldon and Amy still together? Last i watched it was hinted that Leonard and Penny are gonna butt heads over the assistant hitting on Leonard i believe.

I generally liked the episode, and especially, as usual, the Sheldon and Amy interaction. It’s original and weird and touching.

I’m growing very weary of Penny and her constant drinking. It seems she’s never on camera without a glass in her hand. I wonder if they’ll ever do an episode in which Leonard takes her to task over this, the way he did with the online gaming addiction. Otherwise I get this vision of a future Leonard haplessly tied to a white trash drunk.

I loved the impressions.

I totally cracked up when he busted out the Nicolas Cage: does anyone else remember seeing Simon Helberg on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? One of his recurring sketch characters (on the show-within-a-show) was Nicolas Cage in a variety of settings…he always did a great job. His Tom Cruise was pretty good, too, and I’m surprised they didn’t have him do that on BBT.

Add me to the list of people who agree.

I did find it a little surprising, though, that Sheldon was able to be sensitive enough to Amy to reassure her about their relationship. Not unbelievable, just surprising.

I loved the impressions, and was totally surprised by his skill. I’d love to see more.

Sheldon and Amy bring a new meaning to role playing in the bedroom.

I’ve seen his standup with the impressions. He has excellent comic timing, as he demonstrates on the show as well. His impressions just don’t get over with me. No judgement on your opinions though.

Their relationship is evolving on the show, as all the others are. They have no choice but to carry this forward to the inevitable culmination now.

Can you imagine Sheldon getting laid? AFF will be wiped out.

I hope the writers read the Dope!

Is Amy a virgin? I know she has some “sexual” experience acquired via some sort of lab experiment, and she has the electric toothbrush/sex toy, but has she ever confirmed or denied doing the actual deed?

Thanks for mentioning that. I’ll save everyone the trouble of searching… here’s the link.

Completely changing the subject: Whatever happened to Stuart? Last we saw he was living with Raj. Has he moved back into the comic book store? Gone homeless? Sleeping in AFF’s bathroom?

Stuart has just not been anywhere - we don’t know what’s happened to him.

I found the episode insipid. The Vegas trip could have been OK, but I generally find Vegas trips rolleyes worthy. The bad D&D jokes… well, I know running an actual session would have been boring to the audience, but at least try to make it close.

Raj was an ass once again - ditched his friends at the drop of a hat, and then pushed Lucy to do things she didn’t want to do beyond what’s ok. It would have been fine to suggest she send her food back - calling over the waiter and making a scene was too much.

Simon Hedburg is an actual comic (or was before coming on the show), so I’m not surprised he stole the show, but I really didn’t enjoy any of his impressions. Seems like I’m the only one.

The only part that was good was the role-play between Sheldon and Amy at the end. I actually felt bad for Amy as she left, but I have a feeling the writers are just stringing us along.

If I were Amy, I wouldn’t have gotten angry at Sheldon for making their relationship a “joke”. I’d have gotten angry at my asshole “friends” for making our relationship a joke. Bernadette and Penny got very middle school in this one.
