There was also the time jarbabyj got into it with another poster and the other poster just went nuts and posted in huge bold fonts in an epic meltdown. I don’t think she literally went nuts but it was a scene to behold. I’ll take a quick look to see if I can find it.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by GOing insane but I live next to a woman who clearly has mental problems. At the very least, as far as I can tell, she’s paranoid/delusional and bi-polar.
Last year (on the last Sunday in July, it was) another insane woman drove a truck (not hers, as it turned out) around the neighborhood fairly early in the morning wreaking fairly major havoc - ramming the truck into houses and other personal property and attempting to run people (myself included) over. All the while yelling out the window about “Heaven and hell.” I’ve told people where I work that story - “My Brush with Insanity” I call it. I hope to never have as close a brush with insanity ever again. It was TRULY frightening.
I think the OP is looking for someone who had a mental break right hear on the board, not in real life.
This poster got banned in 2010 after he basically went off the rails and the mods had no choice.

There are a couple more posts in that thread in the same style. The thread got closed because people were worried about the guy. Was he seriously in trouble, or seriously pulling everyone’s leg? Can we even know?
We had two posters who claimed someone was listening to them through the walls. One guy thought someone was actually listening to him breath.
I think she was just shitfaced that time, rather than bonkers. (IIRC, TechChick had a drinking problem)
