I really, really liked S. 1+2
I don’t know if it’s Isabel, but I doubt that adding one character will sink a show. To me, it seems as if the writers have nothing more to say and I find myself fastforwarding to avoid the Isabel /Shawn interaction (which is painful) and going straight for the plot points to see if anything interesting is about to happen, only it never will. The teaser for next week screams panic from the Network (Don’t miss next week - all will be revealed!!!).
The show has lost its Sense of Wonder.
I’ll keep watching to the season finale, but something tells me it will be the series finale as well.
The Isabelle/Shawn impending wedding from hell isn’t very compelling, but I haven’t given up yet, especialy after the most recent episode. I’m looking forward to the answers to some questions (although I already know only a few of them will be answered next week):What’s Ryland going to do with all of that promycin extracted from Isabelle? Is Richard honing his telekinetic powers to possibly kill his own daughter or does he have something else in mind? Now that Burghoff has full 4400 abilities, waht’s his next move? Diana has been recieving promycin injections for apparently months now; how wil this affect her? Why do the future people put so much faith in Tom? At the end of last season, Maia mentioned “the war”. At first we thought it would involve the Nova Group, but that was apparently some misdirection. What will the real war be?
and finally: What happens when Jordan Collier returns?
I haven’t given up on it yet, but it plunged in my esteem when they suddenly aged Isabelle in last year’s finale. What, did they get season 2-4 of Angel on DVD while writing that episode? I’ll keep watching, though I’m not terribly sure why. Because I still miss the X-Files, maybe.
I’ll keep watching it. I’m a sucker for sci-fi shows, I like most of the characters, and it has an interesting premise. Well, except for the Isabelle/Shawn fatal attraction thing.
