Yes, a few. Some deserved, some not. I have unpopular opinions, people report me a lot.
One or two “mod notes”, but no official warning.
I’ve gotten warnings but each one was premeditated and I happily took the punishment. Sometimes you simply must speak out. I count those warnings as badges of honor.
Two official warnings.
One was because I broke a rule in GD which I didn’t realize was a rule. I don’t post there very much. Nevertheless, I clearly broke the rule which was telling someone that their post was a lie.
The other was from twickster. Enough said.

Yeah, but it turned into a reverse Pitting, so it doesn’t count. It also gave us the opportunity to make puns on the names of Central Asian despots, so it was a plus.

I got a note once that was completely unfair - I made a benign joke that was weirdly misread as an insult to Shodan, which is especially odd since I was one of the few posters who actually liked Shodan. But while I remember it (obviously) I didn’t protest beyond a single post defending myself. There has probably been a time or two when something I posted that deserved a note didn’t get one, so it all evens out in the end.
I can’t remember for sure but I vaguely think I might have gotten a note one other time, during Cuntgate, from Marley. If I did, it was deserved.

We get a lot of posters who dont post much, and maybe just in games, etc, they dont get warnings, so yes- a large majority of posters dont have any warning. Of active lT posters, I would say nearly half have gotten at least one.
How do you know you get reported a lot for “unpopular opinions”? Do the mods tell you? Especially since later you say
My how things have changed! I used to be the jerk, now I am the one being called names, even by mods. I’m OK with that, that is what the Pit is for, I guess. My karma, right or wrong. But I did get some warnings or notifications or slaps in the wrist in the past, surely deserved if not downright provoqued in a hazy intoxicated state of mind.
I think I did. I can’t remember what it was for, it was so long ago, I seem to recall it being a borderline case of skirting the edge of acceptability. Not sure if whatever I did would even be noticed now, it being during a volatile time on the boards when a few Mods were more trigger happy.
Three warnings, I think; the last was in 2013. I’ve become a lot more chill in recent years.
