Once when I posted a poem in my Profile that an Administrator considered offensive.
And more recently (yesterday) when I proposed sweet revenge on a poster who’d been verbally abusing me.
(Can’t give too many details, but it was kinda like sending pizzas to your enemy’s house.)
I admit I had fun both times, but in neither case was my offending post up on the boards long enough for a lot of people to enjoy it. Gawd, these people are quick!!!
So, those offenses are all played out. If I ever get warned again, it’ll be for something totally new and unexpected.

I’ve been warned once by a Mod. Though I wouldn’t really call it a warning; more like a suggestion.
It was about the length of my sig and I was actually glad I got it. At the time, I was not aware of the 3 line minimum preference on the part of many posters (though I know some prefer no sig line at all). Since then I’ve tried my best to keep it at 3 lines or less.
I see it as a good thing I got the suggestion. It was helpful in fighting some ignorance: mine.
Never. I doubt they know I exist, which I suspect puts me in their “nameless favorite poster” category. I try to create the least amount of work possible for them.
I’ve never been warned by any of the fucking mods around here, and I’ve never been warned by any of the goddam admins either. Even if they ever took the time to break up their daisychain they got goin between the whole miserable fuckin lot of em, Those miserable sunsabitches still wouldn’t warn me. I’m just that bad.

Sometimes people ask me how to use sign language for a certain word & I teach them something really really naughty instead. So, when they think they are saying ‘thank you’ they are really saying …well never mind.

Once, in GQ - I violated my policy in that forum of “keep your hands off the keyboard and you might just learn something,” and posted to a GQ with a blatant pit rant. Chronos repremanded me responsibly (and soon moved the thread to the pit - but that doesn’t excuse me). I accept my error, but since (A) I wasn’t out to specifically make trouble for anybody, and (B) a little rebelion is good for the soul, I never bothered to apologize to Chronos.
Does it only count if one is threatened with being thrown - um - overboard? Last week Coldfire threatened to cut off my EXPLETIVE DELETED, when everyone else had proposed merely the removal of my eyeballs. Actually he threatened to make me do it myself. That man headed for great things. He take him job plenty much serious. But he didn’t say anything to suggest I wouldn’t be permitted to continue on the SDMB in my new soprano role.

Umm, if you’ve been warned twice already in the five months you’ve been here and only made 155 posts, I wouldn’t necessarily count on getting another warning; there’s a limit to the number of warnings we’ll give anyone. There has to be, or what would be the purpose of a warning? If we find your next offense to be egregious enough, your only warning may be that message that says “You’ve been banned,” when you try to submit your post. I suggest you try a bit harder to play by our rules. M’kay?
