Have you voted yet?

Another (gentle) high-five to Mama MissTake!

And another :raised_hand:t3::raised_back_of_hand:t3:! Tell her about all the new friends she has.

As of September, there were 2.9 million registered voters in Oregon. As of today, nearly 2 million votes have been cast, and ballots are still steadily coming in.

I voted!!!

Hoping to be voter #1, I timed things out to arrive five minutes before they opened up at 7. Turns out I was number 15 in line!! Color me shocked, I’ve never had more than two people ahead of me.

Got my generic “I Voted” sticker, so it was all worthwhile.

Lines lines everywhere are lines to vote!

I’ll have to wait until after work to vote I got there at 7:15 Lines on the sidewalk at both precincts in our rural township. 3200 people live here that’s it and I’ve heard many did absentee ballots. The turnout is phenomenal!

Great to hear!

A reminder for you and everyone else from Vote.org:

So before you get in line, be sure to make a pit stop. And remember that as long as you get in line before the polls close, they have to let you vote.

Lots of other tips here:

I voted in person last Friday.

The crazy lady voted, no rinkydinks harassing anyone. There were a couple dozen people ahead of her. She was highly offended that some people in line were treating it as a party instead of a solemn duty. She was in and out in about an hour.

Not only were there no rinkydinks harassing folks, the people in line were all quiet. OK, it was 7 am, maybe that played a part. There were also no people handing out crap outside of the building. That was odd, they’re usually there even in off-year elections.

I just voted today on election day. in Indianapolis the state gop tries to suppress the vote by limiting early voting and not allowing absentee voting except in certain circumstances so I waited until election day.

I had to wait an hour to vote. I’ve never had to wait in line to vote in this state before, not even in presidential years. I hope this means turnout will be 60-70%.

voted! i live in a large building so our polling place is for our building and only our building. down the elevator, to the lobby, and whoa! is that the line??! first time there were more that 3 people in line. i was number 48 and my wait was 45 minutes from end of line to vote.

there was a bit of a delay as not all the poll workers arrived by 7am. we had 3 when we should have had 5.

This title feels different today than last week.

Yes, sure does! It’s exciting, and also a little nerve-wracking.

This morning at 0700 there was no line at my polling place (here in the SFBA CA). It was easy to drop off the filled-in ballots.

Let’s put this behind us!

Agreed!

I dropped my ballot off at the local high school polling place on Friday.

Then, stressed all weekend because I didn’t get the verification that it was in the system yet. Which I got yesterday. And knew wouldn’t be there until Monday. But I still stressed about it.

Won’t get released from the hospital, so I can’t go vote :sob:

So sorry you’re in the hospital. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, but daughter is, not me. And we are 350 miles from home, so… I don’t get to lodge my protest vote. Not that my vote counts in Wyoming, but still always do my duty.

Yikes. I couldn’t vote in the primary because I was giving birth, but that was at least a much more joyful reason to miss out. Best wishes to your daughter.

@Kron, hey man, I hope your daughter is okay.
