Having sex with clones

Now lets say I would have my self cloned. And lets say I was gay. If I then had sex with my clone would that be incest or masturbation?

Incest since the clone is sorta your sibling.

No different than gay twins really.

Unless you were willing to wait eighteen years, it would be pedophilia to boot.

If I killed everyone who asked this question lest I go crazy, would it be self-defense or justifiable homicide?

Justifiable.

Read David Gerrold’s The Man Who Folded Himself. That’s time travel, but it raises the same issue.

Isaac Asimov addressed this question some years ago, in his"Clone Song" (sung to the tune of “Home on the Range”).

In the song, the male singer speaks of having himself cloned
“with the Y chromosome changed to an X,
and then my clone, my own little clone,
will be of the oposite sex!”

But, as the song goes on to acknowledge,
“when I’m with my clone, I’m alone.”

Robert Heinlein has a short story in which a character does something very similar using a time machine.

By time traveling, the protagonist manages to become his own father and his own mother.

And recruits himself for his job.

And recruits himself for his job.

Actually it sounds better when you lay it out as the male protagonist becomes (in no real order) his own mother, his own father, his own daughter and his own job recruitment officer.

It’s called All you Zombies and is a really good read even with me having spoiled it for you.

Whoops! Didn’t mean to post that first one…

Huh. Did All You Zombies precede The Man Who Folded Himself? 'Cos, well, that’s pretty much the same concept.

All You Zombies was written in 1959.

“All You Zombies” is quite short. It’s the ultimate in time travel paradox stories.
